I know it’s useless for dee now, but here some advice for people for the trials. -try to max out heart/stamina/weapon slots by finding shrines and korok seeds (the more you have, the easier it’ll be) -give yourself extra yellow heart and a buff before starting the trial, those carry over (you can use a dragon scale to have the buff last 30min) -rock octoroc can polish rusty weapons into better ones if they swallow them -if there’s a bottomless pit or water, try to push the enemies to fall into it (arrows headshot is the best way to do so. Lizalfos won’t drawn in water) -try to be careful with explosive barrels, they might be close to food items and it’s better if they don’t explode them. -after finishing a floor, look everywhere to get everything possible (have your scanner set to detect chest. Stasis help seeing food, chest and crates) -use bombs on weak enemies instead of weapons -ice weapons always one shot fire enemies and fire weapons are the same against ice enemies. -you can use magnetic things as weapons or to push enemies. -there’s a way to continually do sneak strikes (sneak to an enemy to do one. after that, immediately go in front of them, they always check behind them to see what hit them. You can then sneak strikes them again and constantly repeat the process) -use bomb to destroy every tree and get the wood from it (by cooking one, you can get a meal healing 1/4 hearts, and three are plentiful in those trials. Also the effects don’t stack, so cooking more than one at the time won’t heal more) -you can use fire to burn your regular arrows so they act like fire arrows -ancient arrows can one shot any regular enemies (bosses, mini boss and guardians if not hit in the eyes are the exceptions), so if you find some, save them for strong enemies (like lynel) -use electric weapons on non electric enemies (they’ll instantly drop their weapons) Bots I know you’re there with your scams.

Things that would have helped immensely: L-targeting, and feeding rusted weapons to the "oddish." Things which I don't think Dee Bee ever learned the first time around either. Also, it's fun to use the zombies' dropped arms to beat the crap out of them, and saves on your weapon durability.

I recently did another playthrough of this game and fully did trial of the sword legitimately again after like 5 years of just skipping to the end through glitches on repeat playthroughs. It was a lot more fun and easier than my first playthrough, I got loads more experience as playing through the other Heroes of Time thanks to you (as well as 100% ALL of Tears of the Kingdom), so this was a breeze! I think I’m gonna rewatch this whole playthrough again, I watched it back when episode 1 dropped and what a JOURNEY we’ve all been through since then! This will always be the greatest Zelda playthrough I’ve had the pleasure of witnessing! Thank you for constantly making mine and thousands of other people’s weeks with your amazing content!

ive completed the rest of the DLC and fought Calamity Ganon but I still cannot get past level 11 of the trial of the sword its absolute rubbish. I've just resigned myself to not being able to. maybe in years down the road I'll come back and at least finish the beginner trials but I don't have high hopes. congrats on you for doing all of them you're a beast!!!

I mean no hate or disrespect to Bee when I say what i’m about to say. I love the guy and watching him experience something new is always a joy. He’s funny, genuinely enjoys what he does, comes across as insanely honest, and is just generally a great guy. I’d love to actually hang out with him one day if at all possible. However, as a longtime Legend of Zelda fan, BOTW being his FIRST Zelda game has always irked me a little bit. BOTW contains so many references to past games, and is ultimately a celebration of the series and its legacy. BOTW is the culmination of everything the series has done up to this point. From the puzzles, dungeons and item collection introduced in the very first LOZ on the NES, to the dynamic cutscenes, storytelling, music, the side quests, the connected world, and characters having actual voices introduced in Ocarina of Time, the Master Sword also introduced in OoT, the companion characters, the sages, the Sheikah, Zelda herself, the King, the kingdom of Hyrule, the Zora, Rito, and Gorons, and so much more. Most if not all of these are present in BOTW and have the previous games to thank for their existence. And it’s not just the gameplay elements and characters. It’s the story and history of the series as well. Things like Link constantly being reborn to fight Ganon/Ganondorf, the Triforce and which pieces resonate with who, the never-ending cycle of good vs evil and why this cycle even exists, the events of OoT being passed down as legend from Wind Waker onwards, the list goes on. There is so much that this game references and pays tribute to regarding the series and its history, but Bee again doesn’t quite have the knowledge necessary to catch these references and understand them. But let’s ignore all of the Zelda specific stuff for a second. I firmly believe you are doing yourself a great disservice if you play the newest game in a long-running series without playing at least one of the previous games beforehand, preferably the first one. I believe whichever game in a series you play first will be the one you constantly look back to for comparison in regards to both future and past games, as that game more or less becomes what you consider to be the “gold standard” of that series. Assuming you enjoyed the game, of course. BOTW does so much different from the previous games. It only has 4 “dungeons” and they don’t take very long to complete. Subsequently, the game also only has 5 major bosses that are part of the game’s story, 6 if you count the Calamity Ganon fight and the Dark Beast fight as separate fights. 4 of these boss fights aren’t required to actually beat the game however, bringing the total down to just 1. 2 if you separate Calamity Ganon and Dark Beast Ganon into 2 separate fights. The world is the most open and free it has ever been before, Link can now jump of his own volition when the previous games used an “auto-jump” system when Link ran off an edge. Link can also sprint, which consumes stamina. While stamina and sprinting was introduced in Skyward Sword, there was no way to upgrade your maximum level of stamina before BOTW. Weapon durability was also non-existent previously, though Skyward Sword did introduce shield durability. The Sheikah Slate powers were also not present in previous games, except for the bombs, though they were a separate item and you could only carry so many at a time. Shrines and Shrine orbs also did not exist in previous games, and Link could only increase his maximum health by collecting Heart Containers from defeated dungeon bosses, and collecting 4 Pieces of Heart to form a Heart Container on his own. All of this is to say I was afraid Bee would dislike previous Zelda games if he ever played them as they are more restricted and linear when compared to BOTW. While that thankfully did not happen based on his playthroughs of Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask, I viewed it as a possibility. Again, I do not dislike Bee at all even having said all of this. This was just the thoughts and opinions of a longtime Zelda fan who wanted to make them known. If anyone wants me to take this comment down, I will do so. Just let me know.

20:24 Pretty much Breath of the Wild in a nutshell. For anyone out there thinking about beating the Trials on Master Mode, the octorocks can polish rusted weapons and for the beginners Trials, a very nice trick is to use the Korog Leaf. Yes, that useless thing can send flying backwards any bokoblin and drown them in the water and 2-hand weapons like the axe or the hammer, with the combo, will send Moblins flying backwards too. If they carry metal weapons you can pick them up with magnesis and if it's wood it will float. Sadly, the infamous floor with the three Lizalfos...good luck in that one on Master Mode.

This is the part I absolutely hate the most about BotW - I wanted to almost snap the gamepad in half when, in the last part of the trial, you throw at the player 5 bokoblins, one of those wizards which freeze you, and then a bokoblin takes you 10 hearts out of you, and have to restart from the initial part. Pure luck based.
