Hey Martin, I looked into this a while ago. One of the head researchers was Jewish and it made him rethink his beliefs. But his only question was 'why is the blood still red' - years later he would find out about an enzyme called billy ruben (spelling citation needed) that at extreme times of emotional and physical stress, goes into the blood stream and when that happens the blood stays red forever. not only this, but the number 3 appears on the body three times. Amazing happenstance considering he was dead for three days. Although, another huge mystery is how did this clothe have a multi layered image seared into it when attempts of replication have all failed-including ancient and modern photographic techniques using salt and various chemicals. Well here's the odd thing I learned, I am not a scientist so I can't repeat what I learned verbatim- The light came from inside the clothe, it would need to have the same strength as laser light, and it was specific in striking and illuminating very SPECIFIC parts of the clothe. Well what in the human body emits such a light at such a frequency? Dna.. The human dna emits laser light. And the conclusion of this research is, it's as if some great 'power source' came on to the dead man and ocellated his dna to the point it shone like a bright star. neon. *EDIT - People tried to say it was forged via carbon dating but that is now well known to be wildly inaccurate due to carbon rubbing off on things after years and years. It's not an accurate source. It is true, no one can explain the shroud. (Still watching the video apologies if you covered these thins i said)

Wow!! I just wrote off the shroud of Turin as some Roman Catholic relic. Was interesting to see you take a little side step into topic most of us rarely think about. The Isaiah description of Jesus sure doesn't match up with the oh so hot Jim Caviezel of the Passion movie,,,, I saw you get emotional when reading the scripture. Bless you, my dear brother Martin. If you were here I would give you a big Texas hug

This topic has fascinated me for years. I also have followed the research. My biggest question originally was, why would God drop this physical verification in the midst of all the other dark miracles of dead bodies in the Catholic Church. They seem to be obsessed with these things. When I ask questions like this I think of Peter who was the lead ready, fire, aim questioner among the apostles. God is humorous. I think He likes to smile so he inspires our silly questions. He can do whatever He pleases in our lives and history and he does. This is not a story of a dead body. It is a story of the first flash of life after death, the resurrection. My thoughts are like yours on this topic. Your putting it in the correct perspective of Isaiah’s prophecy is the perfect context. All the research and apparent verification of what the shroud of Turin is saying, as glorious as it is, pales in the face of God’s word about it,

Thx for this interesting topic. I always held the shroud's authenticity at arms length however it always intrigued me. After the latest findings, I also, believe it is authentic. And, like you, it didn't move my faith when I was suspect of it's validity but now it sure doesn't harm my faith either.

Rob Schneider is putting together a great documentary of this. The only way it could happen is supernatural. Something amazing took place when God raised Christ up from the dead. I bet the entire universe groaned and shook... to leave a mark on a bed sheet? Pfsshhh... That's nothing!

Just another "black sheep" adding my 2cents😄I'm no scientist nor anthropologist...so my thots are merely conjecture. My thots lay more along the lines of the imprint being the Glory of the Spirit of God as it entered and raised Jesus from the dead. God's glory in a bush did not consume it but merely set it aflame. His glory on Mt Sinai had to be veiled so it wouldn't kill Moses, and the glory on Moses was so great when he descended the mt that his face had to be veiled!! I think God is also saying to us, death is now "swallowed up in Victory!" Linen was associated w/ burials, and Jesus own image was now stamped upon it! And an earlier commenter notes the length of His hair, citing Corinthians "it is a shame for men to have long hair"...That statement is totally relative. Compared to the woman's hair of that day - that was not cut, a man's hair at his shoulders or neck line was much shorter than a woman's, and thus not violating Paul's directive. IMHO LOVE all the comments! And looking fwd to tomorrows video!! Much love grace and peace to all🙏🏼💜

I have also come to believe the shroud is authentic also. I’ve gone back and forth over the years, but now I believe it’s most likely authentic and yet another sign of the existence and most importantly the actual “death” of Jesus Christ, which is the most important thing ever, next to the resurrection!

On the same page. I've followed this story for years. WAX dating is so superior to carbon dating which has long been known in the scientific community to be very inaccurate. This "new" evidence is among the "knowledge shall increase" of Daniel. Many archeological finds that support the scriptures (alters, temples, towns) are being unearthed in recent years, even though war efforts are attempting to bomb them out of existence. All prophecies will be fulfilled according to the will of God.

Martin, I loved your reading of Isaiah 53 from the Concordant Version of the Old Testament and the Message Bible. I wish that I could cast a "yes" vote about the Shroud of Turin, but I'm unconvinced by the evidence presented by the researchers who have studied the Shroud of Turin and concluded that it is authentic. On the other side of the academic debate, some scientists have analyzed blood patterns on the Shroud and have concluded that they are inconsistent with Jesus being in one physical position. In addition, in his article "The Shroud of Turin: Blood or Artist's Pigment?,” Walter McCrone said that he found two artist's pigments of the 14th century, but no blood. Finally, a single shroud runs counter to the burial customs of Jesus' day (e.g., strips of linen), which are reflected in various scriptures (John 11:44; 19:40; 20:5-6). The contrarian evidence extends far beyond these points, but I won't dive deeper.

"othonion" just means a piece of fine linen. So it makes sense to me that one piece of linen was laid on he ground with his back on the linen with his head in its middle, then the other half of the piece of linen was brought over the top of his body. They then "bound" the body so covered with a rope (or other stripes of linen) so they could carry him to the tomb. The New evidence suggests this is exactly what happened.
@markhaukaas4170

@@robertlakey Hi, Robert: The Greek is plural, so there must be at least two pieces of linen in your scenario. In addition, the figure in the Shroud does not appear to have suffered the level of trauma that Jesus suffered. A lot of things don’t add up to me. Overall, I find the evidence for the authenticity for the Shroud of Turin lacking. On another note, I appreciate your comments here on MZTV. You bring angles to things that most people don't consider.

It is great that so much of the Bible has been verified since 1948. I fully expect the ark of the covenant to be found soon, if not already in the possession of the Orthodox Jews who are just waiting to reveal it when the third Temple is constructed. In my view, it will be built before the abomination spoken of by Daniel and Jesus. The preparation has already been done and after the peace treaty is made to begin the 70th week of Daniel, it will be finished in less than a year (the Empire State Building was finished in 13 months).
@christopherperry406

How could the Ark of the Covenant be found when it was carried off by the Babylonians and assumedly destroyed? And we know it wasn't used for the Second Temple, which is unthinkable if the Jews actually were in possession of it.
@JKBelle

@@christopherperry406 I’m not so sure it was destroyed honestly. I mean, the ark caused death to certain people and was thought of as a curse to gentile nations. I think if God wanted it preserved they would be too fearful to destroy it IMO
