No I don't prewash, Nancy! I find the fabric easier to work with as it's purchased. There's rarely any problems with colors running. The only time I've had an issue was with a deep red batik next to a white fabric. The steam from ironing caused the color to run. It's wasn't too bad but noticeable closeup. Of course it will twist, you skipped ironing some of your blocks, which you tell us not to do. I like the instructions, but keep to your own rules I also iron the side flying geese pieces before I attempt to put them onto the center blocks, before adding the other pair of flying geese.

Pressing all the seams as you go is the best bet, Lynn. While I'm not always able to move around freely when recording, I finger press which helps a great deal. I do explain why I'm not pressing so folks will understand what's going on. Pressing definitely makes assembling the block much easier! Thanks so much for watching. Happy Quilting, Lea Louise
