Hey Zach, fellow strength coach here.... In your opinion, specifically speaking about wrestlers here... Sumo deadlifts or Conventional? I lean more towards Sumo with athletes, and sometimes even trap bar, but wanted to hear your thoughts.

Frontline Strength Yes, most of the time I use a sumo variation or a trap bar variation

Frontline Strength I did wrestling for 4 years and I feel that sumo deadlifts helped a bit more, I preferred sumo

Basic strength is always great for wrestlers but there is much more to be added beyond the basic barbell lifts.

Any reason they're doing sumo deadlifts? I do conventional, sumo and hex bar, I just switch it up on occasion. I'm curious as to why they were doing sumo tho

These videos are just a snap shot of what we do, my man, there are almost 4,000 videos on my page and each video shows a little bit from each session. The answer is "it depends". Could be time of year, strength of athlete, etc
