Do you happen to have a video that addresses what you can do for ankle pain when in lotus or simple crossed leg. I've had previous ankle injuries that have healed but my ankles are tight.

hello! I am and always have really struggled to lift the leg just on its own. I never improve this... I don't think it's hamstring flexibility as i can keep my leg straight sitting or laying with my leg up. Its the strength i think, I would be interested in a sort of exercise i can do to strengthen the muscles to lift the leg higher while standing.

I replied to another video before this that sent me here but unfortunately, this video does not help me for some reason. My issue is just the top of my right foot being crushed and pulled. Is it maybe just something I need to learn to deal with ? I have joint hypermobilty. I’m very flexible so that is not the issue for once lol being double jointed or whatever you wanna call it really sucks actually for day to day life lol it just seems exciting to people watch what I can do but it’s only caused me issues all my life oh well anyways. What do I do? Do other people just have the top arch of their foot hurting from being squeezed & crushed and pulled or is it just me? And when I try to make it more comfortable I think my foot wants to keep turning instead of staying completely sideways Like it’s not my angle that hurts but definitely maybe the way my foot’s turned I don’t know. I am the worse of following directions. I’ve looked at step-by-step photos. I don’t know. 🤦♀️🤔😕 and yes, I passed all the test. There were fine, easy not an issue. And the bottom of my foot does not hurt just the top part like Maybe I’m doing something I don’t even even realize 🤷♀️ maybe crushing my own foot bc not relaxing lol idk any help would be great. I know I’m like four years late to the party. Apparently this is a very old video so anyways not sure if youll respond but thank you for letting me rant & ramble as if im talking to someone lol Im knew to commenting. No im not that old just never rarely make comments or well i. Don’t know how to even figure out what to find if anyone replied to my replies before 🫤

I’m extremely flexible bc I have.. joint hypermobility/ double jointed/ elhers Danlos ….whatever people prefer to call it anyways yes it’s caused a lot of issues for me over the years but I just tried the lotus pose for the first time “correctly” apparently bc over the years I guess I’ve been doing it the wrong way & just never noticed or had someone show me till now anyways it makes the top of my right foot hurt so bad. I’m not a used to having issues in yoga with things like this well it looked easy to me so I was lil shocked that it’s not because normal even if it’s just my first time things are a breeze so I have to be careful stretching too much but omg the pressure is making it very difficult; for some thing that supposed to be so relaxing & helping you meditate, this sucks lol. I apparently have a bit to go before I can relax bc this is definitely gonna be a challenge to learn how to somehow ignore & not feel like my right foot is being crushed by my body. As if meditating isn’t gonna be hard either lol I honestly thought that would be the hard part lol Defiantly checking out your other video bc I have looked at a lot step by step & at this point, I think I’m doing everything the correct way just gotta get a used to it maybe 🙄🥴🥵. I really don’t want to do it half ass bc I feel like I need to be doing it the correct Buddha way 🤷♀️🤨🧘♀️🪷 and is it really tight ankles bc honestly my ankles feel fine to me just literally the top arch part of my right foot I think called the dorsum
