please go on a trip to portugal. Your plan of 6 mths thai 6 month portugal is good. Portugal is very welcoming to content creators it's not as cheap as it was but air quality and the coast is amaxing in lisnon you are a 15 minute drive (ok fast drive) from costa de caperica one of the most dramatic and longest coast lines in the world. It's a very free country in terms of civil rights etc. not a bad plan

I spent a few years living in Dubai and the bum gun is everywhere there, when I moved back to the UK last year the first thing I did was install bum guns in all the bathrooms. I don't how people live without them.

Now I see where you get your gardening skills from your Mom has a beautiful property. Happy Birthday Annie she is the same age as my oldest daughter! I’ve had a tough time with my daughter moving out and off to University but I’m happy for her. I’ve told her I could move to where her University is to be closer and she said no dad! Lol

it must be hard for you to imagine what a viewer experiences when watching your videos as you've never seen them totally from scratch unseen and unthought of.. I have and I'll say great job, really pleasant and smooth watching and I think the effort you've put in to doing a few staged long distance me coming up the stairs type shots latch things together very nicely almost into a movie type realm where I find myself thinking is this a movie and next we're going to be off to rob a bank, great job mate fantastic viewing

Nice video. I usually stay at the BS Residence in Lat Krabang in and out of Bangkok. They have their own airport shuttle(door nr 3 or 4 at arrivals if I remember correct), and there are cheap friendly pubs, restaurants, and a market in walking distance from the hotel. Nice swimming pool as well, big parking area.

I too am glad you’re back in the UK! You had your chance in Thailand and things eventually didn’t turn out as expected as you grew up and grew older! Smooth sailing in the future for the UK, right? No need for a return ticket. Still looking for a new job?

for some reason its a cold and almost autumn feel to the start of july here in carlisle uk, noticed straight away the difference between the pavements in Yeovil to any Thai town or city how is the reverse culture shock ha ha, thanks for sharing

Qatar Airways sucks. Had 4 flights a couple years ago… the experience was terrible. They hire South Asians and Filipinos - and basically imprison them in dormitories outside of Doha - forbidden to leave except to work. (Modern slavery and you can sense it from the mood and poor service quality.)

Yep had a hard time with the call centre. Also lost our bags on the way back. Delivered them 5.30 am following morning with no apology. Never again. 👍🍻

Flights, Qatar are very good, or were when i worked there. Don't understand why you are not thinking about Eva air, 12 hours or so direct flight. Economy is good but premium plus is even better.

Eva and Thai come in too late for a train connection unfortunately. Qatar airways on top of all the cancellations, call center stress, unable to check in online or select seats, they lost our bags on the way back. No apology just dumped our bags at our hotel 10 hours later than they said they would. Very stressful. Maybe just bad luck but Never again. 👍🍻

@@jamesabroad8589 simply stay overnight near the airport. Get train the next day. Travelling stress free is much better than saving 1,000 baht or so in a hotel.

Hi James, the list of pro's and con's between UK & TL are for always changing.. greener grass syndrome possibly? the cost to live back in the UK would be a big shock.. perhaps a topic for a video?

True, there are things about the UK that are very expensive but Thailand certainly isn't as cheap as it used to be. We'll see what happens in the next few years. Hope all is well. 👍

Another year gone by! The videos in the UK are the best. Also, isn't it interesting how many white people there are in Yeovil, compared to Chiang Mai. I am older than you, but I think I will never wish to return to the west... Not unless I could live in a much less densely populated area in the US or the UK, without the rednecks in America. The American culture has become extremely weird and warped during the past 50 years, and even more warped during the past two decades. Therefore, better to just remain in Thailand where things are still good.

@@jamesabroad8589 It will take 20 years to undo all the destruction that has been done to all of our countries. One election isnt enough, this is like a person weighing 600 pounds, they cant just be a healthy weight in a week or two....it takes time and effort....The UK right now has more immigrants in london than true brits so the UK has lost control of its main city. Immigrants have no ties to the UK, immigrants are a plane ticket away from going home to whatever country and living a life there. But a brit is stuck with the disaster, sure some can leave but you would be leaving the disaster to your friends and family. It isnt just the UK, Australia in my opinion is by far the worst. Canada is also terrible, imagine having your bank accounts frozen cause you gave 5 dollars to a trucker who was peacefully protesting things. These governments today have become the worst we have seen in at least a hundred years. A german leader didnt even target its own citizens like our western governments are doing today. People are jailed for speech in britian and in other countries....

Hi James, Beautiful camera work in this video. So much clarity in it. Probably having no pollution an a blue sky enhanced it. It is good to see the close relationship that you have with Annie. I can't imagine too many father's here in Australia going for walks with their daughters an being comfortable talking about all subjects.

Hello mate. Manchester and Liverpool are great areas for Annie to study. They have loads of Asian supermarkets and restaurants, she can find literally anything she needs from back home. Even Durian and Pa la . Everything is in walking distance and great student communities. Should come up north and have a look .

I just spent 4 years back in the UK after 17 years in Thai after 1 year I realized I had made one big mistake but my Thai wife liked her job earning money and saving it all so we stayed ,the UK is now a dump in many areas well that's my opinion places like where your mother lives and few like it the upper middle classes have not been invaded yet I hope for her sake it is not she would soon change her not so bad statement anyway enjoy I am sure you will if you stay where you are you sound very up market matey

Overpriced EVERYTHING, NHS that is nowhere near to those superb Thai clinics, immigrants (of the bad kind), miserable cold weather.... No no no no no... Thailand any day of the week over northern part of europe.

Its great to see your mum (star of the show) looking so well and her beautiful garden. The reason you enjoy the UK its home James family friends local pub proper fish and chips its what we all miss when away. I have not been home for over 3 years as I dont have family there but I fear I might not want to come back here if you get my drift lol. We are heading to our Northern pile (Chiang Rai) next week for the school holidays and we going a different route so will be passing trough your stomping ground Tak this day week. Hi, James. Love your videos. The only little gripe I have is not knowing the location of the houses you show. That would be a great help to me as my (Thai) wife and I are considering relocating to the Chiang Mai area from Koh Samui. We have lived on Koh Samui for 20 years and we are feeling a bit 'island bound'. Koh Samui is a lovely place - we live in a rural part, away from the tourists - but we hardly ever get to go anywhere. Chiang Mai will give us so much more scope for day trips out. Please show us a map, or be a bit more precise, with regard to the location of the properties you show. It would be a great help to many people who are thinking about moving to Chiang Mai and who want to know more about the different areas.

Do not fly emirates ,i have been a customer for 10 years ,then my last trip was a fucking nightmare ,i got stuck in dubia for 3 days on my way to thailand ,got treated like a fucking animal ,the worst part was standing in a queue for 15 hours ,then the trip back was delayed again ,missed out on hotels and transport i already booked and payed for ,how much compensation did i get ,fuck all what a set of cunts,never will i fly with these fucks again
