My kneecaps don't move a mm and never have done. This is freaking me out! Seriously though, mine have never been able to move like this. They're solid in place. I'd be too scared to move them in case I dislocated them! I've always had this fear after my shoulder dislocation. But I'm having knee pain above my left kneecap after doing a sprint on the bike! I only feel it when I really put force into hill climbing. It starts then, and I'll get pain for 30 minutes afterward. Then I can't go anymore and need to get home and get a massage on it. I'm completely fine the next day for a couple of hours, but as soon as I do a hill climb again, I start feeling it coming on! It's happened the past three days now.

Are these exercises to be done pre or post cycling?
@dynamiccyclistАй бұрын
It's best to do them before your main activity (cycling) to reduce the risk of injury. If you must do them afterward, allow at least a few hours between sessions for recovery. If you love this you'd love the full platform: www.dynamiccyclist.com

Great program! The ‘4’ piriformis/glute stretch: I appreciated the instruction to push out with the one leg and knee. No one ever gave me that instruction before and that really intensified the stretch. I am a middle aged former gymnast and still have a lot of flexibility and struggle to get a lot of benefit from many stretches so I added some modifications like using the stairs for the hip flexor stretch and kneeled on the ground and put my foot on the seat of the couch for the quad stretch. This is a really great video and helped stretch with some of those cyclist problem areas. The scorpion stretch is fantastic too.

@dynamiccyclist3 ай бұрын
I understand your point! It’s normal for foam rolling to feel uncomfortable, especially on tight muscles. Over time, it can help release tension and improve flexibility. Be gentle and consistent, and the discomfort should lessen as you progress.

I often feel an annoying pain on the back side of my knee. Is it due to bad positioning on my saddle or due to bicycle height disharmony with my height ? Pls guide
@dynamiccyclist4 ай бұрын
The pain on the back of your knee could be influenced by factors like saddle positioning or bike height, but it might also be due to muscle imbalances or strain. To help address and prevent knee pain, we recommend our 6-Week Knee Function and Rehab program. You can find it in the "Injury Prevention" section of your membership. This program combines mobility and strength into 15 to 20-minute routines, designed to fit easily into your schedule and target the areas that might be contributing to your discomfort. Try our 7 day FREE trial here: new.dynamiccyclist.com/stretch-strength
