Whenever I’m feeling down, I sometimes gravitate towards Naruto for inspiration. At first, I could never articulate why I did this. Naruto is only a fictional character designed for entertainment. Those were my initial thoughts, at least. Until I discovered your videos. You helped me discover why Naruto is such an integral part of my life. I am 33 years old, and I have to say without a doubt, Naruto has changed my perspective of life and even saved it on numerous occasions. Whenever someone asks me who my idols are or who’s my favorite hero, my mind never wastes contemplation. I always found it weird how Naruto never tried to understand Kabuto back then when Kabuto was reaching out to him, Kabuto even layed out the parallels they share with eachother right before him for Naruto to just brush it off. It was an empty interaction. But now that you put it into perspective how Naruto treated most of his villains in that stretch of chapters, it makes perfect sense.

@@thatguy5148 Yea thats why Naruto can readily talk on Sasuke's hatred because it's pure, while he can't readily talk on Kabuto's issues because his two faced attitude is not productive towards discussion, basically Kabuto needed to sort his own shit out before speaking to anyone else about himself which is eventually what Itachi made Kabuto do through Izanagi. This might be why he never tried talking to Orochimaru or Madara because they are so self-absorbed in their ideas as well.

I've said it before, but it's so refreshing to see Naruto content like this on KZbin. You're one of the very few people who actually looks at the content of the story critically (and not just whatever feats are displayed in the fights), and actually understands what it was about. Too much of the discourse about Naruto online seems to be made by the "speed reader/watcher" crowd with the same predictable, surface-level takes such as "Rock Lee should've been the protagonist because he represents the show's themes better!" and "Neji was right all along". Don't get me wrong, not everyone in the world has to like this series, but it gets so tiresome when people continue to misinterpret and misrepresent the series and levy criticisms against it that could immediately be rebuked by anyone who's actually paid attention to the whole story.

But yes naruto always downplayed and everyone thinks naruto doesn’t have depth because of the surface level themes that never really were the true themes of the show and people think those are the true themes. Naruto imo at least for me because not only do I love his character my entire life I had similar ideals to naruto and I’m talking about peace so for me naruto is one of the best mc and animes because when I first Ed watched it could identify the true them and could just really relate with it.

I really enjoy your insight on the metaphorical and philosophical conflict between Naruto and Nagato as the culmination of Naruto's character development up to that point in the story. Many surface level critiques I have heard of the Invasion of Pain have cited the resolution between Naruto and Nagato and the subsequent revival of Konoha with the Rinne Rebirth technique as a deus ex machina meant to lazily undo the loss of important characters. However, you highlight the more significant thematic purpose of this resolution in it representing Naruto's first important step back onto a path that he had lost, and ultimately back onto the very same path that would allow him to overcome and reconcile with foes both old and new that he had been incapable of reaching previously. @@thedripsensei9802 Hogoromo one isn’t plot armor either. Hagoromo didnt resurrect Naruto, as he even says near the ending chapters, 670ish, hagoromo says, you are not dead. When Naruto met Hagoromo, Hagoromo gave him half of the seal which is to be used to seal kaguya, that seal was a sun, meaning light style, which was told to us in Obito vs Konan, that The sage possessed two abilities, that of shadow style, and that of light style, where he said that the sage would use light style to instil life into non living beings, this is how Naruto stopped Guy from dying after using the 8 gates, and hence the ninja jesus title comes from. His huge surge in power wasnt from Hagoromo, it was because Obito had given him remnants of 8 tails, 1 tails, and half of the 9 tails, making him the ten tails jinchuriki. This all makes sense, as Obito revived the ten tails, even though he used a small portion of 9 and 8 tails chakra, not the whole. This is how Naruto was able to gain six paths senjutsu. Sasuke wasnt dead either, but he was nearing it, just like how he was nearing death in Sasuke vs killer B, after killer B had blown a hole in his chest, and jugo using his sage power, merged with Sasuke to save him. Kabuto infused Sasuke with Hashirama cells, along with sage chakra, after he was stabbed, saving him and also merging the two chakras of senju and uchiha, resulting in rinnegan manifestation

Wow. This is fantastic. I literally had a conversation with my friend where I was trying to get at what to do about hatred in the world and I thought about Naruto. I thought, "Well, obviously mutual understanding, like what Hashirama talks about and what Naruto does throughout the series." But that felt a bit simple, so I asked myself what Kishimoto said a shinobi was... which is one who endures. So you work toward empathy but must endure the process.
