6:44 "This makes no difference at all to the quality of the images. The dust does not seem to show up as far as I can tell". This is quite a leap in logic. Dust definitely lowers the quality, you just don't have a method of testing it. IF the dust is not in focus, then it lowers the light transmission and contrast. It may not be obvious, but that's only because you didn't compare the results to a clean copy of the lens.

Hi how do you get the creamy backgrounds. I know we can have the lens wide open. But a lot of times the background is still not blurry enough. Do you have any videos that shows how to edit photos?thanks mal

I dont know much about lenses. Moment wasnt available in my country so I ordered a Kodak 15x Macro lens instead. Is Kodak good? The only other option was a Chinese brand that I have never heard of before.

Does a DSLR do a better job at capturing the whole macro subject in focus (such as the whole ladybug) instead of just part of it?

Hi Liesl - Thank you for your video. I am trying to take my flower photos to the next level, and I think your tutorial will be helpful. In particular, the pace of the video (not too fast!) made the steps relatively easy for me to follow. I also appreciated that in addition to explaining the steps you were taking, you also discuss the look you are trying to achieve. I look forward to watching more of your videos!

When I see your videos it makes me wish I was in Texas and not the UK. What an inspiration you are! A very gentle and very instructional video full of expertise. Last year sadly I had to sell my Canon gear and Sigma 100mm f2.8 due to eyesight issues. However even with one eye which is recuperating I am going to learn again how to do this genre of photography with my Panasonic FZ1000 Mk1 and I phone 13 pro max. Thanks very much for posting your videos.

Well Leisl spring will be forthcoming. Seeing your video, and others that you do are so inspirational. You just bring that sense of calmness in showing us wonderfully the measure of God’s creation as captured in your photography. I have done some photography like yours and would like to share a few with you if it were possible. I am now 80 years of age and have sold my Canon and Sigma gear as carrying weight was becoming an issue. Now I rely on my Panasonic FZ1000 MK 1 and whilst it is not as good as the Sony RX10 MK4 it is amazing what shots can be had by keeping to a fixed length focus and using Intelligent AF. I also have an I phone 13 pro max which will be of good use as well this year. Thanks again for your videos. Keep them coming. David
