Pandora’s box is a super common literary device and that’s what the pandora bracelet represents. The pandora bracelet is given after 1. Amber learns of the prince’s identity and takes notes of it. And 2. Amber is accepted by the princess. Ambers acceptance into the family causes Simon to snoop and discover the secret, thus resulting in the huge conflict in the film.

Toy Story is about how people drift apart as they mature. They find new things that interest them or things that pull them away from friends they used to think would be with them forever. That's not always a bad thing as it opens up new possibilities for new friends. What is bad, is pining for the days that will never return and putting them in a pedestal. Or trying to close yourself off from any new experiences or friends because you're afraid of being hurt again. That's Toy Story.

I’m not joking, if they just made Anastasia into all the nice things Christian gets her that would fix everything. Because the movie would no longer be about a psychopath abusing a young naive woman, it would be about two selfish people using each other who eventually fall in love. It’s a much more complex story that’s also easier to watch.

Dear Disney Executives, please pay attention. 11 million views of being caught with your pants down. If I was an Investor, I would be asking serious questions the next time some big brain executive tries to pull this stunt again. Thank you Jenny, for all the hard work. You saved me $24,000!

The footage showing that the TVs only had Disney+ made me think: what if a guest or a cast member forgets to log out? That would essentially give the next guest free access to Disney+ during their stay. I hope there was a feature that automatically logs accounts out when the stay ends, but I might be expecting too much out of this place.

I watched TRoS for the first time since 2019, and wow, I really didn't remember how bad it was. Jenny covered most of the especially stupid plotting, bad character and thematic moments, etc. but the actual movie is all of that PLUS it's boring, has bad dialogue, 50% of it is dimly lit ugly gray Exegol scenes, the painfully awkward stretching of Carrie Fisher archive footage past the breaking point, CGI Luke and Leia faces... The list goes on.

3:33:58 Cynically, one might think they were going through the experience BECAUSE they knew the closure was imminent, and they wanted to do it before it went away. This is a genre-defining video essay, hope we'll get to see something new next year.

Genuinely love this video, cuz while it was mostly about the hotel (duh lol), the last chapter outlining how the failure of Star Wars Hotel is just another step in corporate greed’s systemic strangulation of our ability to be able to enjoy product for cheap rly hits rn 😔 can’t wrap my head around how much worse it’s gonna get before it’s gonna get better :s

So like every recent Disney project this thing was an order of magnitude more expensive than its predecessors from the 00s yet was way lower effort than its predecessors from the 00s. And you just KNOW some corporate suit is gonna try to blame labor costs for the failure.

The video game "Home Safety Hotline" on steam is made by an ex evermore employee. It's a really neat little game with a bunch of cool monster designs. It's on steam if you want to support one artist who got laid off from the park. I highly recommend it!

The problem with Disney these days is that everything they do is extremely corporate and fake even if there are very genuine people behind some of their stuff. MBA’s run the show and suck all the life out it.

I love how, even when this video was new, peolle acted like "trigger warnings" were something new. You could call our rating system for movies, complete with a list of reasons why it received the rating, a "trigger warning." We've been warning people about what's going to be seen in media for DECADES specifically to make sure that people know what they're going to see and to avoid seeing things they don't want to Also... In what world are people just standing around, watching a woman get beat by a man and do nothing about it. And the reason women stand up for the men in their lives that beat them is MUCH more complex than the author's bizarre views on what feminism is

I went twice, once before the pandemic, and once after, and overall I enjoyed the experience both times. The food was bad, and at one point I remember trying to get some cider and hot cocoa (this was winter at night) and that part was terrible because it took forever. We had to wait in one line for like 15 minutes to place our order and pay. And then we had to wait in another line for another 15 minutes so that we could present our receipt and actually get our drinks. I was one of the fools who contributed to the GoFundMe. That was a complete waste. It's also been my experience that they didn't reply to their email. We had planned to go a third time but had to cancel our plans. The website said the tickets are refundable if canceled in advance by sending an email. So I did that, to which they never responded. And then I sent another email to make sure they saw it, and never got a response to that either. I tried calling the park and got an automated message telling me to cancel by sending an email. Anyway they never responded or canceled the charge on my credit card, so I ended up having to contest it through the credit card company, and then Evermore finally responded to *that* by claiming that I had never contacted them to cancel the charge. Fortunately I was able to show the emails as evidence and the charge did finally get reversed, no thanks to the park management.

The savageness of this takedown of Rise of Skywalker is well-deserved. I've re-watched this video more times than I've seen episode 9. It's a little cathartic. I was actually super on-board with the sequel trilogy episodes 7 & 8. There were problems sure, but they carried the Star Wars torch better than the prequels I thought. Then came episode 9... And like some force sensitive moviegoer something told me not to go to theatres to watch this. A friend had a bootleg cam copy on the computer that I watched, and oh my... it really did run the entire mythology off a cliff that can never be recovered from. I can still passively enjoy odd pieces of Star Wars media, like Mandalorian or Andor, but the Star Wars universe, knowing where it ends up... It'll never be what it once was, and as much as I try to erase it from my mind, it's still there, tainting every other Star Wars thing that came before and comes after. I feel like Rise of Skywalker was an attack on fans and the property itself. It's borderline traumatizing for its awfulness.
