For Pac-Maze, they should have just either made the ghost be in the background, or make the ghost visible, and just make it so that the player who picked up the pellet be able to attack them. If I can come up with a workaround, I bet Nintendo could have too!

Street Fighter doesn't keep bringing back all the World Warriors. Kliff and Justice from Guilty Gear are dead. Plenty of fighting games like MK and MvC don't feel the need to bring back the originals to all their games. I honestly hope Jiggly Puff gets cut in the next game to make room for someone new

Here's my thoughts on each tier: Super Likely: Pichu was intended to be replaced by another mon in Brawl but a second Pikachu was too low of a priority for inclusion. Doctor Mario was intended to be in Brawl and because of the fact that he has a series of games he might have a chance. All that I have to say about Wolf is that I find it to be extremely odd that he was never considered for 4's DLC. Young Link was replaced by Toon Link in the eyes of Nintendo but I believe that he should at least be considered since he's the main protagonist of two of the best video games ever made. Realistic Cuts: Roy gives Fire Emblem GBA representation and cutting him would be counter-intuitive to anybody who wants additional classic Fire Emblem representation. Cutting Lucas would be a slap in the face to anybody who wants Mother 3 to be playable in the West. If anything else I hope that Ninten is an echo fighter for Ness at least so each Earthbound entry will have its main protagonist featured. Too much love is put into Kid Icarus's representation for Palutena to be cut. Here's hoping that more characters from the franchise are added in. 50/50 Chance: Considering the fact that Toon Link is on Ultimate's box-art I'm fairly certain that he'd make it in a two Links scenario. Cutting both to me isn't a good idea at all. Lucario's got a better chance than Mewtwo in my eyes. If we're going based on the Google polls then Lucario is the second most popular mon of all time of Gen. 4. I'd go as far as saying that he's a lot more iconic to the franchise than Greninja. Also no he didn't fall off and he's not a Mewtwo clone. Not a good take at all. On the other hand... Thank you. Thank you. THANK YOU! Jigglypuff has always been such a low priority for the franchise that a different Kirby clone was supposed to be in N64 instead of her. In each subsequent entry she was added in at the last minute. In an alternate timeline we wouldn't have to have this critical life conversation because she wouldn't have been added in at all. Mewtwo was supposed to be in N64 and yet people cut him out of these smaller sized rosters a lot. People need to be consistent. If Waluigi made it into the next entry over the other Mario characters in this tier that have the advantage of actually mattering to the Mario franchise then a lot of people would be rightfully upset. 3rd Party: If Cloud makes it into the base roster which seems unlikely then there's no reason to cut his arguably even more famous antagonist. Considering how much Castlevania content was in Ultimate Simon's not going to be cut. As long as Bandai Namco continues to work on this franchise Kazuya won't be cut. SMK will most likely embrace Terry being added into each subsequent entry. By the way I kind of feel like the importance of some of these franchises is being underestimated.

Unpopular opinion but I personally would not mind if they decided to make Smash 6 more casual like they did with Brawl. After all, Switch 2 is going to be backwards compatible so you can play both Ultimate and Smash 6 on the same console.

Partners in Time is just too dark for most players. People play Nintendo games to experience joy and fun, not to feel sad and disturbed. - That being said, it's still quite possible that Nintendo could go ahead and remake it anyway for the switch.
