Charley, how could you just sit there so stoic & silent? I'd be giddy all the way there and back. Also, what happened to the drone? Obviously you went back & got it, but did it just land after you got too far from it?
@imbenmeyerКүн бұрын
Hi Charlie. Do you read your comments? I want to thank you, and those in the comments below. I hope it's a community that doesn't judge "old" people, like I remember some doing to middle-aged people in college classes wanting to better their life and get a college degree. You have my subscribe, not only because of "you", but you had me at "a lot of prayer." I never paid attention in fourth grade - I was in the back pretending to fly planes. Didn't play Call Of Duty, or Minecraft... I was on MS flight sim, and then X plane. My UAS I passed with a near perfect score and the woman said, "You must be a pilot." I've just been scared. Not giving myself permission. Falling into line with others. I had no pilots in my family or professional network. I'm overwhelmed, but inspired and encouraged. God bless. Prayers for further success of your KZbin channel. Hopefully the recurring revenue will grow to pay for your Jet-A/AvGas :)

Used by the RFDS in australia, able to land on dirt, grass or paved runways of around 900-1000 mtrs , & a range of about 3610km makes this one a very capable & very flexible aircraft

Awesome video! Do you have a template for the comparable model that you'd be willing to share? A few of us are looking into an RV-6 to paint up as a Redtail P-51, and this would help the shopping experience. Thanks!

I'm not saying that the PC-24 was designed specifically for smuggling, but it does give that impression. "Versatility" indeed..

Seeing a transport type jet at max certified altitude in a 45 degree bank level turn is mind blowing! But nothing is cooler than the off pavement ops… What a capable and elegant aircraft.

With this behaviour at service ceiling, I wonder why she can't be certified higher. Would probably be fun to go "VFR on top"... ;-)

At F450, you could 45 degree banked turns all day long in a Global Express.

@@GLEX234 Isn't the GLEX rated for FL510? Also, it's "slightly" more expensive than the PC-24... ;-)
@GLEX234Күн бұрын
@ It is, doesn’t change the fact that all modern jets have much wider range of speeds at high altitudes, so it’s unique anymore. Pilatus builds marvelous planes, I don’t quite see the off-prepared surface capability-lots of damage risks for little gain. Next we’ll be seeing accidents like on the owner-flown PC-12s-poor risk assessments and decision making. A wet grass runway is difficult to make performance planning, especially engine failure cases.
@GreenBlueWalkthroughКүн бұрын
@@GLEX234 Also I have never seen a Lear/"Micro" jet with out a A-10 thunderbolt 2 engine placement which the A-10 has it's odd engine placement because of a few reasons related to it's combat role. But in this case why it matters is having engines above the wings means you don't have much of risk of engine ingrease from the runway... Meaning if you have a run way long enough their is no reason why you need to only land on pavement. Unless the ground was extremely soft and or rough then you would sink, bust a tire or even damange your gear... So you should be able to take a lear any of them and land off pavement as well as a sports car can drive and park on grass or dirt. Which in this video I seen no signs of big bush tires or even stronger naval acvation type gear... So the off pavement abilities is likely mostly marketing and if it has any backing it's this plane has better short field proformance then most lears on sell today... Which makes it odd that they just don't market it with that instead of off pavement which any Lear should be able to do which out any noticed difference then landing on pavement. Which I have seen mirco/small private jets that have engines under the wings but they all are combat jets or one of projects... Which mid and big jets land off pavement all the time even with their under wing engines as they are so big the engines are high off the ground enough to have the same effect. Not to mention big enough to not care about engine ingrease you get from off pavement landings/take off and they always have at least two if not 3 or 4 so having issues from engine ingrease is not a concern unless something horrible goes wrong.

Hi. Thanks for your video. I’m a professional musician with a Bachelors and Masters in Music. I’ve been in the music industry for more than 25 years and I love it. When I was in college I dreamt of becoming a musician and i achieved that goal. And I’ve always wanted to become a pilot. In 2021 I took flying lessons (15 hours in a Cessna 150) but had to stop because of financial reasons: I’m married with a child and had to work to provide. Now, 3 years later I’m seriously considering going back to flying school. Will visit the local flying school this week to get info on financial assistance and explore the possibility of becoming a commercial pilot. Wish me luck.
