Great video, do you need to check TDC of the crank as well? Im wondering what keeps the crank oriented to the pump & cam when they both have adjustable sprockets
@TDISwaps
@TDISwaps 12 күн бұрын
I made marks for the crank, but there is also a timing mark on the harmonic balancer and timing cover to recheck everything is right at the end. The pump sprocket is the only adjustable one. The cam is press on. Once belt it back on and tension is set, you check crank is still on its mark, then injection pump pin still looks good. Then check cam for Tdc and lastly tight cam sprocket bolt to lock cam. 2 revolutions by hand and recheck all marks.
@TinCupOutdoors
@TinCupOutdoors 12 күн бұрын
@TDISwaps I gotcha, yeah I like how you did that. I wasent sure if the cam and crank could get out of alignment over time and needed to be re-timed to each other. That press fit must hold the cam tight
