Almost all dishes that are common in Poland today were eaten by the poor people in the past. Bigos, dumplings, tripe, etc. poor people used everything that lived or grew around them. They didn't waste anything that came from animals, especially. everything was used. bones for cooking soup or making jelly. pig hooves for making legs in jelly. stomachs for tripe, blood for black pudding. milk to drink, when it turned sour, they made cakes or pancakes from it, and when it spoiled even more, they made cheese. nothing was wasted.

If I were to have a version of this for breakfast and watched my calories, could I still lose weight with all these carbs? I am not super overweight but I carry all my weight in my mid section and would need to lose about 20 lbs. This is a good simple recipe for breakfast but super heavy in carbs. I have heard that carbs mean nothing and to just try to eat a ton of protein and find the right amount of calories and if you are not losing weight then simply lower calories. Thanks guys!

This is supposed to be Polish food. we don't eat like that in Poland. The borscht is accompanied by a meat croquette. The tartare must be well seasoned and mixed. In the video, the girl gave the man an egg with raw meat. They don't eat like that in Poland! It would taste disgusting. Besides, the table would be very poorly set. They should rather go to a restaurant, preferably in Krakow.
