These games ruined all the Pokémon games that came after- when they made near perfection it’s hard to beat it

Kinda stupid how olimar and the team decide to leave knowing that there are still more rescue folk on the planet

It’s hard to say the remake is perfect when it has absolutely nothing on the originals. HG/SS are virtually unplayable.

Instead of continuing to make new regions, they should go back and make sequels... ... Think about it: Pokemon Red 2 & Blue 2. It's been 30 years. The Kanto region has grown, evolved. You, a young child, have grown up in Pallet town, hearing the stories of the Pokemon master that came from right here in your, still relatively small, town. Those stories have fueled your dreams and ambitions to one day becoming the next great Pokemon master..... ...give the OG fans a nostalgia trip seeing how the region has changed while also giving the younger fans a new experience.

Sorry but you wrong about mew if you go to the museum above Brock's gym you pay 50 poke dollars to go on then go to the second floor and on the right talk to the ship 10 time and a stairway will open on the top left when you go in you will be on a ship with one pach oh grass and you battle mew level 5 with the move transform and that's how you get mew

As a kid I once found some sort of glich, in which I talked to a NPC, for some reason he gave me a Yes or No choice and I said yes and then he took My entire party for a reason and left with some diferent Pokémon. I was pissed as fuck and restart the whole Game from start to finish

G/S weren't actually ever intended to be the last games at all, it was a mistranslation, and what he actually meant was Gold and Silver were the last pokemon games HE was going to work on.

Don’t diss the blue help screen in fire red leaf green, the type matchup and stat explanation were mad useful as a kid. Like dude “this game contains optional explanations of game mechanics and tutorials for the player to explore at their own volition, and that’s terrible” is such a brain dead take

I cried when my pokewalker fell off my belt cuz it had my starter in it… but luckily I found it omw home 😂 it was my very first Pokemon game so I adore it so much. Hell, someone stole my soul silver only for me to find out my friend stole it (I had gotten heart gold after that bc I was really sad abt it being stolen), when I found out I traded the soul silver back to my possession just for gum bc they felt horrible lmao

Not sure if this counts as an "unpopular opinion" of sorts, but... While I don't necessarily _hate_ the Custom Dice Block from the newer games, am I the only one who considers it a somewhat lamer version of the Sluggish Shroom Orb (and similar objects like the Slowgo Candy from MP8 and the Slow Dice Block from MP9-10)? I don't know, I feel like it's a little more satisfying hitting the number you want with the right timing rather than just... rolling to the number you want and press A and that's it. Whoop-de-doo. (Also, side note, but am I the only one who noticed that the Custom Dice Block in Superstars and Jamboree has a very similar if not the exact same color scheme as the Slow Dice Block in Mario Party 9 and 10?)

Here's how I think the games could have been adjusted to allow all evolution methods: * Put the Mossy Rock for Leafeon in Ilex Forest or Viridian Forest * Put the Ice Rock for Glaceon in the Ice Path or the Seafoam Islands * Have the Power Plant generate the magnetic field for Magnezone and Probopass once it's restored

While I completely agree with your sentiments here, I'd note that a lot of the criticisms you level at the original GSC arent't actually resolved in their remakes. And that's without discussing the issues with the level curve that take away from the experience and make grinding other pokemon to the appropriate levels in these games absolutely miserable. I'd also express frustration at how much content is locked behind totally inaccessible events, which you do mention near the end. For those reasons I really don't think the title of "The Perfect Remakes" is accurate, but I do think HGSS are still some of the most enthralling and content-rich games in the series. Great video!
@kingfoorthwal24 күн бұрын
the level curve is not an issue and was not an issue when the game came out. it's something manufactured by KZbinrs. it's a perfect remake
@KOBULT9227 күн бұрын
Regarding the remakes, my thoughts are simple. If I want to play Red, I will play FireRed. If I wanted to play Pokemon Go, I would just play Pokemon Go. If I wannna play some classic jank, I'll play blue. The Let's Go games to me are more like Kanto themepark DLCs for Go rather than actual remakes of the original games.

My only problem with these games is the leveling. I'm playing through it right now and I just don't understand why, right before the elite four, you're battling trainers with mid-20s, unevolved Pokemon. And then Victory Road doesn't even have any trainers!

16:57 Of course you'll find what move types use what stat in the help system. Just go to the skills tab in one of your Pokemon's summary menu. Press L to Access the help menu, select "What does this term mean?" and then choose Attack or Special Attack to get a list of the respective types.

Great video I subscribed! My only 2 criticisms are: 1) I am confused by the "it's better I don't like it." Does it mean the nitro track was better or the retro track? 2) I feel like you could have used more variation in how you rate each track. For example, just because the remake is worse doesn't automatically make it bad. As an example, I would describe Wii Coconut Mall in MK7 as "It's worse, I still like it".
