VW Bus - Derale Oil Cooler Is Mocked-Up! - Pt1.2 Install

Pt1.2 I have successfully bolted in the Oil Cooler and everything looks good! I had to make some modifications as the hose ends were too long. Therefore, I rotated the oil cooler to make it work. :o)

Good Day Larry. I hope all is well with you. Just finished watching parts 1 & 2 back to back. Always like your shop adventures, though I flinched at the sight of taking your cut off wheel to the belly pan. That's just me, though. Is it possible to mount the fan inside the van against the drivers side louvers at the rear, or is it too far for the oil pump? I've never done one, so just a thought on my part. I'm looking forward to seeing it working. Keep cool down there my friend.

As for cutting the Belly-Pan, I'm pretty sure it wasn't just you Flinching at that. I wouldn't want it inside, Up that high may strain the oil pump. I've seen them mounted outside mounted to the body. I hope I picked the right spot. The few driveway tests, The motor runs a lot cooler even with the fans not turning on. A road test coming late next week (If I can get out. Work 😒).

Which modle number derale oil cooler did you get? Ive been looking at them trying to figure out which one would fit the best and love how well yours fit.
