It is US $32 today NOV/24, this was intended to replace the USB cable to play games from your PC, so YES, you havd to be near your PC...was not made for other rooms

That Quest 3S came out. Now I am interested on your take between the two. Still on that quest 2, and would like to know before upgrading.

The Quest 3s is essentially an upgraded Quest 2 with stronger onboard processing. It has the same resolution and lenses as the Quest2, so if your main focus is PCVR, you likely won’t notice a big difference. However, for standalone software, the Quest 3s delivers a significant performance boost, making it a great option for local VR experiences... But for better PCVR, you need the Quest 3 (not s)

Trust me when I say ditch the cable and plug the device in like a flash drive. WORKS WAY BETTER. The extension cable sucks ass and I was standing next to the device! My wifi maxes out at 300mbps and I have a ton od device that need to run on it but having the d-link adapter has been an improvement (minus the crap extension cable). It's finicky to setup but once I did it was smooth sailing. Also don't have soda cans near the adapter either as the aluminum messes with the signal!

Would this be good if my desktop PC is on WiFi? I can't wire the PC to the router so air link sucks since its going wifi two ways.

That's a valid point, but in that case, you could try enabling hotspot mode on your PC to share the connection (Wi-Fi tethering). On Windows: Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile hotspot, then toggle it on and set your network name and password.

@MrTeeF How do you can >1Gbps speeds on that router (AXE75). I wanted to buy it at first for PC-VR streaming, but then I saw it only has 1Gbps LAN and WAN ports... That means that a wired PC can not get higher then 1Gbps connection to the headset. Sure the headset has 2,5Gbps connectivity, but the actually stream to the PC would get bottle-necked by the AXE75's network ports correct? Can you confirm your indeed limited to 1Gbps PC connection, if not, how did you solve it? Link aggregation?

Yes, like most common routers, the AXE75 has 1 Gbps LAN ports. You have to make a significantly bigger investment to get lightning speed there. However, the goal of 2400 Mbps over the Wi-Fi signal has more to do with stability and range than actual data transfer. If you want absolute lightning speed for LAN and Wi-Fi, I’d take a look at gaming routers like the ASUS GT-AX11000 PRO.

@@AutismusCarlangusMaximus God instinct. Since the pivot point is under the bed, it's actually leaning into the wall. But just to be safe, I do use straps on the legs anchored to the wall, primarily in case my kids decide to try and climb it. 😅

Hey I got a question am thinking I need a cable like this as I have purchased a new PSU Gamemax RGB Modular 80+ Gold and it comes with 2 CPU 12v 8 (4+4) pin cables and my motherboard is an Asus ROG Strix x570e Gaming board. I can only plug one of the cables in and wonder will this help me? I'd hate to have to return my new PSU and continue having trouble

First, check your cables-some 8-pin connectors can be split into two 4-pins. If not, I’m not entirely sure, but it still shouldn’t hurt to give it a try. Just make sure to calculate the total wattage of your setup. You're looking at around 850 watts, which should be fine. For reference, I'm running 32GB of RAM, an i7, and an RTX 3090, and my system barely uses 500 watts. Just be sure to account for all your components to avoid any power issues!

my quest 3 doesnt want to connect to 6ghz whatever i do and when it rarely sees 6ghz its doesnt want to connect and yesterday it obtained ip and connected then right away it disconnects .this is happening to my quest 3 since v65 and ive been talking to quest and they have no idea whats going on and apparently they dont know how to fix it!!!

I have completely cut of my nap nas from the internett as i have 0% faith that Qnap will prevent this from happening again. Unfortunately the only way to retrieve your files is to pay the Ransom. Don't get fooled again by scammers on sosial media who say they can unlock them for you.

I have a PSVR2 and I play on PC. But I'm fed up with cables and the small sweet spot. So I want to buy a Quest 3. However, I'm afraid the experience won't be that different from the PSVR2. Do you think it's worth it to buy a quest 3 ? (PS: money is not an issue)

If you’ve got the disposable income, the Meta Quest 3 is 100% worth it! Especially when considering the pancake lenses with a wider sweet spot and less chromatic aberration, along with the wireless setup. I tested it with Virtual Desktop, and it actually outperforms the PSVR2 app-better frame rates and way fewer stutters. Plus, you get an awesome standalone unit with some cool AR features!

After further testing, I've noticed a significant performance difference between the Quest 3 running Virtual Desktop and the PSVR2 using the PSVR2 app. The Quest 3 delivers a much higher frame rate with fewer stutters, especially in games that aren’t fully optimized, (unlike Half-Life: Alyx which runs fine). This leads me to believe that the adapter and PlayStation app are consuming a lot of resources in the background. Hopefully, this is something that can be optimized in the future.

Tried to make it work the whole weekend with the recommended Bluetooth adapter and driver, tracking is really bad, sending back the psvr2 today.

@@rodiape @rodiape Oh no, that sounds frustrating! I didn’t run into any big issues myself. (Except for the firmware update bug ) Could it be that your PC has Bluetooth 4 instead of 5? If so, you might just need a Bluetooth 5.3 adapter, which usually costs around 10-20€/$!

Unfortunately from v64 and onwards they've broken it again, this time moreso than ever, instead of wifi dropping packets it is now dropping the connection constantly and completely, it's like fighting an uphill battle (also none of the basic troubleshooting seems to do anything anymore)

The last months I have wifi disconnections all the time. Dont have a clue either but am quite sure that it is the wifi in the goggle that is bad. My pc works well on wifi and am close to it as well. Guess it try return it.

The TP-Link AXE5400 (AXE75) has Gigabit ports - so how can you get more than 1gb (2401 Mbps) from the PC to the router please?.. Are you not using a cable from router to pc at all - and using another fast router to transmit to the AXE75 which then just passes the data on to the Quest 3?..

the antenna direction of your router in the shelf is suboptimal. The signal goes out as a donut of the antenna if it faces straight up. If most of them are tilted to the side as you have many of set you could reach the deadspot inside of the donat on some of the antenna. Have you tried putting it outside of the shelf and set all antenna straight up?

Hi, i rent a shadow pc to play steam vr with quest 3. Also i bought virtual desktop but vd shows me that im not connected with shadow in same local network but anyway , thats to ignore i read in forums. I did a playthrough with half life alyx and i was stunned that it worked so well . My problem was, every 5 - 10 minutes my wifi connection broke and for 2 secs i got kicked out of the game . I heard its a problem from quest 3 since v63 or the wifi router is to lame. I tried it all but couldnt find any solution. Do you have an idea what i can do ? VPN makes it worse, tells shadow. Is there another way how to get the cloud pc ip connected to my local one ?
