So the alien queen can make screams in space. That level of scifi is okay for you. But an aliens exoskeleton being able to handle high temperature is too farfetched.

Not arguing your opinion of the movie but may i say, the movie came out in 1992 not 1993. You guys are right to say aliens came out in 1986...but heres what gets me. You guys keep saying a 9 year separation between the two. At first i thought, maybe they thought aliens came out in 1984, getting confused when t1 came out, also directed by cameron. But then you explicity say aliens is 1986 and then say 9 years later. I love movies, and i dont condone that movies rot your brain, but come on man. 9 is the easiest. Just and 10 and minus 1.

My take on clana is it was clarks fault, i mean he was obsessed with her, she was just returning the favour and saving her in season 1 finale didn't help either because she wasn't dumb; she knew he was hiding smth and knowing he liked her, she felt some way knowing she was the last to know. But once lois was introduced, they should have moved on.

Yes make Pete weak to keep Clark’s secrets but Chloe Nobody can? I hated that. It was discriminating both race and gender. BTW Chloe has been spying on Clark for so long, she is the show’s stalker. She is never reprimanded for her invasive behavior.

Smallville had a great thing if only they not had Chloe, and if not make Lana so sad-orphan-girl (personal I would’ve ended her with going all bad and Clark had to take her down or she wounds up in a coma or she slips out of town never to be seen or heard from again). I would’ve loved it if Lex knew Clark’s secret. Looking back now I think Jonathan Kent was a hypocrite. His prejudices extended to Lex shows he is judgmental.

They made Jor-El and all things Kryptonian bad worst evil. I hated that. If they wanted to create conflict or extensive drama for Clark then why not have him just go through what all adopted kids go through when their biological parents show up. The Kent’s become insecure and scared, Clark awkwardly gets to know his biological parents. And finding out that he would end up being Earth’s protector. He goes on a high helping people but some happens that drives him to guilty overload and takes off on Red-K drive etc. I really detested the indigenous cave bull. I detested Chloe from beginning to end. Martha should’ve stayed working for Lionel to keep tabs on him and maybe on Lex. I didn’t care for Martha getting pregnant.

Oh man , Episode 1 and that one already broke me. I got home at my usual time around 1 am to sit down and watch it. Everyone is asleep and I'm balling in the living room alone. I don’t think I ever questioned where God is with human troubles. We cause 90% of the troubles human suffer, and we are the ones responsible for supporting each other in those troubles.

I'm not religious, but the burning of the RAO towers definitely reminded me of the Tower of Babel parable, with Clark essentially acting as God and the Kandorians as the Babylonians who have become greedy for God's power. I'd love to know your take on that, though.

I completely agree, although I would've loved that Clark would've Zod Lex a little more but in the end falling from inexperience. One of the things I would've improved in the show are Clark's fight scenes with beings like the phantoms. I don't like that his only move is to throw his oponent and that's it 👎🏻

It's hard to say which book I liked best. They each had interesting things about about them. Voyage of the Dawn Treader was the only book that didn't actually go to Narnia (although it did reach the Lone Islands, a territory of Narnia). The Horse and his Boy was interesting since there was no world-hopping in this one. The kids were born there and didn't come from anyplace else. But they're all good in their own way

Replicating my thoughts from one of the WOTW podcast videos: I find Season 4 to be a strange combination of some of the series’ best moments, with some of its’ worst. Seasons 1-3 were clearly a trilogy of questions: “Who am I?”; “Where did I come from?” and; “Where am I going?” (respectively). It seems that, going into Season 4, they didn’t know where to go next, so they cashed in five of the major chips that they had held back for some outstanding episodes: 1. They cashed in the no-fly rule to give us Crusade - a world-spanning action-packed episode. By the end of the episode, Clark was earth-bound and we would never see his flying look as good again (even in Finale). 2. They cashed in Lex’s slow descent into evil to give us a peak at the finished article in Onyx. By the end of the episode, Lex is back to normal and was never as compelling or ruthless again (even after he had finished his journey into evil later in the series). 3. They took Lionel to the extent of his desperation and ruthlessness to give us Transference. By the end of the episode, Lionel is “cured” of both his disease and his evil ways. Even after drifting back into the grey morality post-Onyx, Lionel is never the same again. 4. They brought in Lois Lane while Clark is still a teenager. 5. They gave us our first true non-Superman DC hero in Run. These big cash-ins are set against a backdrop of absolute trash: high-school teenage garbage (Façade, Devoted, Spirit, Forever etc.); the witches storyline (Spell etc.); a convoluted stones storyline (that just made us frustrated with Clark’s lack of agency or proactiveness) and; other random stupidity (Krypto, Ageless etc.). Season 4 is an anomaly - containing some amazing moments that the series struggled to live up to again along with some of the series’ worst ideas and character arcs. I would love to hear your thoughts!

Great ideas on the book , I liked the British tv story version too. Hope they make a good movie soon but with all the radical feminism and putting down of male roles, I don’t have much hope. There’s to much of this woke stuff going on which is evil , this generation is very deceived. But there is always hope.
