I feel the tension at the end is unnecessary to the main overarching plot. It makes no sense for Hange's theory to work then Ymir completely flip and kill all of Paradise. Then the wasted Historia plotline, under utilizing of Mikasa for most of the video until the ending, and fact that anyone is still able to transform even though against everyones will ymir destroyed Paradise all feel too inconsistent. It also makes Hanges death in this version as unnecessary as her dying to stall colossals considering Eren didnt even kill her which would've made more sense with your attempt at psycho killer Eren. Then youd have to rewrite Eren seeing his memories through paths because he wouldve seen all of this and A: not gone through with it or B: been prepared to kill his friends from before hand and already come to terms with him being selfish about his own life. Main thing is at that point Ymir in the story couldve just started the rumbling by herself and destroyed the world and every eldian. Her will being so little effected by Eren and her having this much power over all eldians kinda shows she coulda freed herself wherever she wanted. This also just ruins all of the main trio's character arc. There were hints in all of Erens interactions that much to this videos dismay shows he knew what would happen and geniunely felt forced into and regretted his actions. Obviously no hate but this kinda of ruins too much character arcs, gives unnecessarily high stakes for no reason, and feels more like an attempt to elongate aot into a season 5 (if isayama were to write this that is). Much love because this is just my opinion. Keep creating and making content. 👍🏽

Jesus motherfucking Christ, has GRRM seen this?! He’ll wrap up Winds in seconds if he has it laid out like this in front of him!! It would take me hours to compile everything I loved about this rewrite, and most of the highlights have been covered in other people’s comments, so I’ll just mention a couple that seem to be going under the radar: 1.) Jaime’s opportunity to explain what happened with the Mad King in front of an understanding audience?! Sweet beautiful goodness, that was satisfying. And 2.) Danaerys building a city that specifically accommodates dwarves. Such a perfect little moment for her and Tyrion. I loved it. If I could add one thing to this, I would love for Sansa to marry Theon and for them to look after Theon’s bastard child in the North in good faith-no mistrust of a bastard, to close the circle of Sansa and Jon’s childhood distance and right some of Catelyn’s wrongs posthumously. This was a delight to watch. It’s after 3:00am here. But this filled a gaping GoT shaped void with a worthy ending. Thank you very much.

Eh, honestly not a fan of your direction with Eren and the rumbling. I think as it is there really isn’t anything left to care about if the whole world is destroyed. Plus the final battle just becomes purely for the sake of killing each other.

As a certified ending hater who trashed the ending quite a bit ever since the manga’s conclusion and still have a very low opinion of it, this rewrite is everything I wanted. You included what the original lacked, handled all the characters in unique, interesting ways, and incorporated many aspects of the original in a splendid way as well. I was flipping out at every single twist and turn. I don’t think you perfectly fixed every issue, but your storytelling is undeniably top notch, and you did incredibly well with what you had to work with.

It's almost like the writers are trying to tell a story, if Steven was a perfect human episode one than the show would have no direction. I think people drag the show way too much, sure it took us a while for season two but animation takes a long time. You should definitely read farther in the comics though it gets way better, I haven’t finished all of it yet but trust me it gets better. The pacing and the order of the story was way better in the show not to mention the new plots like Debbie’s anger and the robot guy. I can’t wait for season 3 and ik they’re gonna improve some things that need much improvement. Spoilers For example the war was WAY too fast, they had a whole ass war in a single comic and you just had no idea what was going on and then there was a sick ass fight that took 3 comics. While I was waiting for the finale of AoT to drop, I genuinely KNEW that with how the story was moving forward, no matter what they chose to end on I'd end up mad, because I have been feeling the move to the finale felt just really underwhelming compared to the level of worldbuilding that was being shown at the first season. As soon as Eren became "cool Eren" I got even more annoyed at every single plot he moved forward, somehow he became more annoying than at the beginning. The plot always felt like while Eren was being supposedly punished as being a traditional shonen character in a grim world where winging it doesn't work, he always ended up right and having their cake and eating too. I knew that if Eren didn't die I wouldn't be satisfied but also I would be still annoyed even if he DID die because it would just confirm that everything was what he was planning to begin with. I never felt he got actual repentance and never actually had to face proper consequence, while everybody around him was sidestepped or just stomped by the plot just to get Eren to the point he got, ironically turning him into the exact trope I feel he was supposed to be a commentary on. All of this ranting is to say, I've always known that writing a finale for this series that would leave me actually properly satisfied and invested fully instead of being like half interested would be a daunting task, given what was shown, and I have to say that this rewrite did it with flying colors. All inconsistencies I felt through worldbuilding, all callbacks that I feel like this series would be able to do were this written through the same lens as season 1, all plot and character threads that were dropped or even ones I found very touching and strong, you managed to reach every single expectation to make this finale the best it could be instead of feeling honestly kinda cheap and aimless compared to the quality this show has been showing before. Accepting this as an actual finale, I can say this story indeed had a very real chance of actually making me satisfied. Eren properly facing the kind of monster he is, Ymir feeling like the deep traumatized soul she is supposed to represent, Eren breaking and transcending any role and mask he were ever given, characters feeling less sidestepped for the plot to move forward, even more emotional peaks without sacrificing that much of the spectacle and the honest to god worldbuilding and character expertise and passion this show taught me to exepct end even more. All of this wall of text to say, congratulations, you could write something that would turn around even the most petty and annoyed follower that I was and bring genuine closure and satisfaction to follow this through the end. I am genuinely glad I watch you content and I hope I can be as good of an editor and creative worker as you in my writing and character creation hobbies, you inspire me a lot and the amount of talent, passion and skill you showed me in this video are unmatched.

She’s the main character and completely uninvolved, separate from the game of thrones. Entirely unattached to the game of thrones, her role was with the gods in a battle against darkness, drawing her into any game of thrones politics makes no sense. And her taste for revenge was only a tool to motive her training, sandor was placed with her by the gods to teach her to pursue the light instead of revenge, which she struggled with until the fall of kings landing, but it was a tool, not the end game for her character. Oblivious to it or not, she had one real goal… to train to defeat the knight king, and many people appeared to train her. She also came across the dagger that had been soaked in her mother’s own blood, so from that moment it was clear who she was. To change the azor ahai character you’d be rewriting the entire story. Because in case you didn’t notice, every twist in the story push Arya around the board, she was the main chess piece for the gods. -Jon was the prince who was promised. The Aegon Targaryen that Rhaegar knew would united the people to defeat the darkness. Jon also had no role in the game of thrones, and made it clear that he wasn’t a player in it. That was obvious in both the books and the show, that Jon was never born to be king, he was born with some other purpose, which was revealed throughout the story. So your story makes no sense Turning him into a player in the game. -Sansa was playing the game of thrones from the first episode to the last. She had one goal. Bending the knee to Dany makes no sense in her character development whatsoever. She was never going to be a character off to the side, she was always destined for dictatorship, her character development clearly pathed the way for that final outcome, and you didn’t elevate her to that which was disappointing. - this story doesn’t break the wheel and end the game of thrones. As bad as season 8 was, at least it stayed true to the basic goal of the story and broke the wheel by ending the line of succession, replacing dictatorship with wisdom and moved Westeros toward democracy. Your story is just a continuation of the game at the end of the story. The whites were created because of the game, the world suffered because of the game, but you didn’t end the game. You just placed your preferred dictator on the throne. Defeating the purpose and message of the entire story.
