Veteran tarkov player here. Man, every wipe, I bring the best gear I can afford from level 20 and on. Either i die to some scav randomly, or i die to some timmy with trash ammo. My luck in tarkov is fucked, i guess. But, every time i bring a not so shitty but decent kit, I'd kill at least 2 players per raid (if i don't get killed). So, I learned to play with semi meta gear, and my success rate is better than using meta gear.

Thanks for saying AKM and not "AK-47" So its basically fallout but darker and more anime This .... documentary, was cery interesting. Its also very interesting to see a small team put so much love and detail to mechs....just to not have the player interact with them and for it to be more for ambiance. That takes restraint. The moral, human touch and initial aim to bot be edgy is much appreciated in this edgy era. Glory to these artists and devs

Just picked up the game, it is BEAUTIFUL, there are so many moments which you will never find in any other game today, possibly in the future. Playing with friends increased this ten fold, seeing your buddy be pinned down by an exo while you helplessly sit in the background is horrifiying and beautiful. Truly amazing game.

HA I feel like 20:52 this point being utterly, utterly lost on every single early access player lmao It never even occurred to me they was going for this honestly. I think it's partly because of the way they keep spawning these trash mobs out of nowhere, and they're always seemingly hostile, so it quickly makes you forget these are innocent Chinese, Thai, Indian, Cambodia, Japanese civilians trying to get home to at least see their family again, or that this is some random poor sod from Belarus out here dying in what was once California like some rabid dog for no good reason at all. There is simply no sense of any of that at all in the EA footage I saw, sadly.

Chapter 13 in Machiavelli's "The Prince" (easily findable online for free) talks about the use of mercenaries / soldiers for hire, and the TLDR is... don't use them. Their only allegiance is to money. You could have an army and what happens when your enemy just shows up with more money to pay your army to go away, or turn against you? Additionally, I think one thing that gets lost in games is that _real_ PMCs aren't all ex-special forces, with the best gear. Per the picture at 8:07, the men there have some fatigues, a beret, and an AK. But being able to have 100+ of them, knowing relatively what to do, when their "small army" has no prior experience, is a benefit. So while "private super special black ops forces" may exist... its more than likely if you look at those job postings, the vast majority are for security in some form, or training people (men and children) into the fundamentals of being a soldier, etc. with bare minimum equipment. As per the game, just like Day Z... people are just going to shoot each other at their first opportunity. Gamers don't have great morals lol

The healthy mindset you're talking about is actively being suppressed in modern society. Walking away and not defending or attacking the *thing*, whatever it may be, isn't profitable for corporations. The entire political process in most of the world revolves around this attack/defense mindset and it's absolutely destroying any capacity for younger generations to abstain from it. X is making me live in an unhealthy mindset so I'll ignore it and move on, but then they move on to Y and treat it exactly the same. It's truly sad and I have no ideas to overcome it.

14:30 I understand why the game is in third person, but i think the impact of being a tiny scav in the middle of a war would be much better served by a first person view. The feeling that everything is bigger and more dangerous than you, the need to know if you are completely out of sight, the difficulty in knowing what is happening around you. I believe that, after dying several times just trying to kill everything in sight, the player will certainly understand that this is not how the game should be played. Immersion is key in a game like this, and i think the importance of the first person view is often underestimated. Finally, great video and great work by the Forever Winter devs. I can't wait to see when the game comes out.
