YOU ARE SO ENLIGHTENED! LOVE IT!! JUST A GREAT HUMAN BEING.I HOLD YOUR SAME STANCES AS WELL AS AN EX ROMAN CATHOLIC AND EX EVANGELICAL CHRISTIAN. GOOD TO AFFIRM THIS LIFE OF ENLIGHTENMENT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR WISDOM AND COMPASSION FOR CREATING VALUE WE AS A SPECIES HAVE THE POWER TO MAKE OURSELVES WITHIN THIS CHAOTIC ORDER OF LIFE. FOR ME, I LOVE BEING AN OPEN MINDED HUMANIST WHERE I CAN EMBRACE RELIGION AND TRANSCENDENT SPIRITUAL TRADITIONS AS PART OF OUR SPECIE'S STORY AND EVOLUTION ALTHOUGH NOT SUCCUMBING TO THE WHIMS, RIGIDITY AND IRRATIONALITY OF DOGMA AND EXTREME TRIBALISM WHEREVER THAT MAY BE, BOTH SECULAR OR SACRED.

I had a friend married to a gay man. We all knew but she was blind to it...until he divorced her and married a man. They were married for 20 years.

Even with all of the evidence that the Earth is round, there are still people that believe that the Earth is flat. So of course even if there is overwhelming proof of God, there still would be people that would not believe.

To be more accurate Elohim is plural and most commonly was used to mean a feminine divinity. Soo not god but goddesses. This is my understanding though not from a Mormon perspective. Simple linguistics, though it’s very interesting to see where many of their myths come from. A lot of this is ancient Canaanite and the Hyskos mythos. Ancient Assyria etc.

All you need is DNA to disprove that. Of all the Native American people that have had DNA tests run, it has been noted that genetically, they are all closely related to Chinese or Mongolian DNA. No where in their oral history is any evidence that they came from Isreal or the Middle East in general. There is also nothing in their oral tradition that speaks of anyone fitting Christ's description visiting North American. If Christ had been here to spread the gospel, why were native people so reluctant to become Christians? Wouldn't Jesus already have converted them?

There's a bit of irony for you. While I doubt that active church members are watching your content, it sounds like church leadership is desperately trying to contradict your message.

The first white people to visit the Americas were the Norse in the 10th Century. They built a settlement, had a few skirmishes with the natives, but ultimately retreated. I'm glad you mentioned the racism of black/Native American people being cursed with dark skin, because it's fucking sick, and more attention needs to be drawn to it.

Thank you very much for sharing your stories. You are both very fortunate that you did indeed kept sex for marriage. Whether people believe in God or not, there is so much more honor and respect that is brought into a union into a marriage two people have to save themselves for one another. There isn't anyone else in your mind or that has gone into your body. This world would like to tell us it's okay in that way or like animals and that we should just go and allow our feelings to dictate our actions, however a life a freedom without good boundaries that are for the good to protect and respect another is the life of chaos and confusion. Selfishness the enemy temptation whatever you want to call it when we look to gratify momentary pleasures without considering the consequences can really end up and hurt and problems that could have been avoided when in life there is enough suffering and problems as it is.

I do have a question for you since you were part of the LSD church what if a a woman was barren or she could not bare children at a young age? Would she be excluded from the church or would she be deemed cursed? I’ve always wondered maybe you could answer that question

So I think in my opinion and I’m not trying to make offense to anyone’s religion, so I’m sorry in advance if anybody takes it personal, but I believe Joseph Smith made the original religion because he wanted to marry underage girls and he made an excuse or wanted to place a control factor of his visions over a certain group of people to say that was an ok practice. And I say that because he was a 37 year-old man who youngest wife was 14 and 16 and he had 20 to 40 wives.

What he said about members no longer being victims but perpetrators after a certain age is spot on. I've heard people state that you shouldn't criticize or mock people in cults because they've been brainwashed, but at a certain age you are responsible for the harm you perpetuate by serving a cult and thus brainwashing your own children.

Actually, the definition of a cult is when a group of people come together to worship one thing so technically all churches in every religion is a cult. It’s not just yours. And the difference between Mormonism and Christianity even though Mormonism do believe in Jesus, they don’t believe he was a god but a profit not a son of god. But they do believe he became a god later on through good deeds. On the other hand, Christianity believes that Jesus was birthed of God and he was the legitimate son of god. Mormonism also believe that they too can become God through doing good deeds or having many children because that means they’re more blessed. But, Christianity do not believe they can become god. They think there is only one God.

This video is beautiful. I think I relate a lot to the catholic guilt and have recently discovered that life is so much fulfilling when you're not reprimanding yourself constantly. I think you're very brave for actually taking the risk of changing your life and facing your inner "demons". I truly wish you the best❤

I am anti Mormonism. Porn has killed my relationships. I have to agree with them on this . Using porn hits the cocaine reception buttons in brain. It's an addiction. It changed what happened in the bedroom in a bad way. Parents should be teaching sex, not porn.

Caffeine is highly addictive and is hard on your heart. There are other religions who abstain from coffee, but they have real health concerns behind that like the strain on your heart and its highly addictive qualities. Not so for the LDS church that can't make up its mind

Almost all Joseph Smith's "prophecies" never came to pass. And that's because he's a false prophet.
@MsMadmax12 сағат бұрын
That's how most cults are--they don't tell you everything at first but wait for you to become so engrained in their church that you can't figure out how to leave and maintain your salvation. If a religion isn't completely transparent about ALL their beliefs from the get-go, they're not a religion, they're a cult.

We know Joseph Smith came from a family who was involved in the Free Masons. If you look at the ceremonies, clothing, handshakes, etc. Joseph Smith directly stole from the Free Masons when it comes temple ceremonies. My SIL had belonged to the LDS church until she got her temple recommend and realized how stinking creepy it was.
