Ok guys… if you’re a true combat tactician, wrestling is only great if the individual such as this person discusses with a set of rules. In a street fight wrestling gets you as far as the person allows you to receive. There are many vulnerable points on human body when someone is grappling you. Oh shoot at me…(your neck) Behind me…(drop my weight/elbow) This is only a few.. Oh yeah… I’ve fought a few wrestlers and grappling is not my primary skill.

Sorry my man: you are wrong about this. Why? Because martial art for self defense translates to street fighting. And street fighting means multiple attacker. And while its very hard to fight multiple attackers with boxing its totally impossible to wrestle multiple attackers at the same time. Simple as that.

The Keysi creator Justo Dieguez was a known and proven bad ass. It's co creator Andy Norman was originally a Jeet Kune Do practitioner who transitioned after meeting Justo. I can only assume that these two were able to make the system work for them, and I always assumed that it must surely be a very effective style but this video has definitely put me off ever wanting to train it now. I do like a lot of the covering techniques it uses as they do appear to be very effective, but I suppose without personal pressure testing there's no way to really be sure.

Bare knuckle fighters have always used a vertical punch. Vertical punchers hit softer that way. That’s why Tyson broke his hand.

When you say that you will fight someone at a range where the kick would not be useful the person practiced it 10,000 times wouldn’t they have a solution the solve this problem? You know BECAUSE THE PRACTICED THE MOVE 10,000 TIMES

The only reason we gun owners cared about the bump stock case is because it was yet another example of ATF “clarifying” (redefining) a definition set by Congress to something it isn’t, and there are plenty of firearm components on the market more gun owners actually care about that have been unlawfully redefined as things they aren’t.

While watching this I was thinking, "Damn, this guy is talking like he's salty af, and I think it just earned him a subscribe". But, on the other hand, I can seriously understand the real feeling beneath that exaggerated look and for me it's often frustration from dealing with people that refuse to see reason. Loved this video, keep speaking uncomfortable truths.

I used to pompously believe belts are useless. Your belt won't make you a better fighter, but belts are great motivators, so belts help you learn. Also, teaching and doing are different. Same for me, my best teachers have not been the best fighters.

Tried it today, will do another 4 - 5 classes, after that no more and will train in MMA at the same time slot. Same Issue I had with Karate and other TMA: I am Canadian, I speak English, I should not have to learn Japanese to advance in belts, that's stupid. Do you think Japanese boxers learn the words jab, cross, hook, uppercut, block, parry, etc.? No, they use the Japanese equivalents.

Former IDF SF and idk what they do for gyms in the US bc its not what they teach in the army. Our instructor was clear if we end up in a combat situation where we have noting but our fists run bc getting ripped limb from limb & head cut off on the internet qsucks. Its just using whatever was at hand to inflict damage but for the of God don't hurt ppl outside a operation or against civilians .You can't turn it into a bjj type sport. you'll end up killing or making every one hate you using it in a minor scrap. It's the dirtiest and self survival skill set, neck shots, throats, eyes, balls etc. Its to inflict damage that alters the life of a terrorist forever, civilians should not want to to do that if they are normal

Nothing wrong with being a good salesman though. I made my career in sales and I have sold good products/services and bad products/services. The mindset and theory is the same, you just feel better when you’re actually selling a good product/service.

One thing a number of "dirty fighting" techniques have in common is that they hit very "soft target" parts of the body. Because of this, they can do significant damage even without a lot of force behind them. This isn't that important if I am a decent sized adult male who spends a bunch of time training combat techniques and can punch significantly hard. So sure, for the kind of person who makes videos about martial arts, fighting dirty isn't that useful. But if I am a small person without a ton of strength, and I find myself being victimized by someone twice my size who could absorb my punches forever without noticing, my only significant chance of escaping without getting badly hurt is probably to hit them in that kind of soft target where it doesn't matter that they are big and beefy and it doesn't matter that I can't generate a massive impact (then, while they are cursing, run like hell). And that kind of scenario, where the big and strong are attacking the weak for fun and profit, probably doesn't involve any gentlemen's agreements on the attacker's part--they will hurt you because they can and they enjoy it, and there is no knowing how extreme "hurt" will turn out to be.

This may explain the Casey Viator "Colorado Experiment" Arthur Jones, the creator of Nautilus equipment & training staged in the 1970s, to prove Nautilus "one set to failure on each piece of equipment" was superior to standard free weight multiple set strength/bodybuilding routines. Casey Viator was already a very experienced bodybuilder, who even though he was coming off of a prolonged layoff, juicing was certainly part of his pre-layoff regimen. That's even aside from the accusations Viator juiced like crazy during the 30 day experiment, the fact Viator was a long term roid user simply invalidates the Colorado Experiment claims as far as they applies to non-juicing, novice lifters.

I believe Judo add a lot to the skillset. As someone who is also a mma practitioner, judo added a lot to my plate. I do not mind the judo play as sport. But it really increased a lot my chops for the takedowns. And open your eyes for opportunities that I didn't had before. Every tool have a place and a moment. As any other technique it all depend of moment and context. And having that clear, it add a lot to your skillset which never is something bad.
