Lab studies show that magnesium reduces chronic inflammation and improves endothelial function, two major risk factors for cardiovascular disease. Animal and human studies show that regular supplementation with magnesium can lower blood pressure, promote arterial relaxation, and fight arterial calcification.

2:12 Why is magnesium so important? Because it's involved in over 300 biochemical reactions in the body, it helps maintain normal nerve and muscle function, it supports a healthy immune system, it keep the heartbeat steady, it helps bone remain strong, it helps regulate blood glucose levels and aids in the productions of energy and protein, and that's not all. 2:35 Your heart cannot function without magnesium because magnesium and calcium work hand in hand, when we have a deficiency of magnesium, that's when calcium starts to have field day in your arteries. 3:12 How do we get these low magnesium levels? Refined and processed foods, many medications like diuretics and certain high blood pressure medications, as well as stress. 3:50 Insufficient magnesium in the body means the enzymes required for proper metabolism function poorly or not at all. 4:45 Magnesium sources: Magnesium is abundant in green leafy vegetables, cereals, nuts and legumes. Chocolate products, fruits, meat and fish contain moderate amounts and dairy products are low. 4:58 How much magnesium a day? Men approximately 420 mg, women 320 mg. But if you're getting it from food you may want to get a little bit more to be safe. 5:11 Supplementation: Magnesium glycinates, magnesium citrates assimilate well. Thank you Dr. Mandell Sincerely, 11 : 11 Meditation Portal Channel

@@patrickmahoney4090 Read The Flexner Report Pat. 1910. It established the model of treating (sick) and not preventing. It was chosen and still followed today because it makes more money. Healthcase works in concert with the 1.5 Trillion dollar processed food industry. Make them sick, then treat em with pills and never talk about nutrition or exercise in any meaningful way- give some lip service but never a plan, resources, never. Let them "try and fail," then give them a pill or 5. That is the current way. School lunch programs are nothing more than sugar that sparks early diseases like diabetes.

What’s the best kind of magnesium to take?
@WhereNerdyisCool Жыл бұрын
Great video. I supplement with vitamin d and magnesium glycinate at bedtime. Really helps my muscles relax since I work out after work

Do you take K2 also ❓
@WhereNerdyisCool Жыл бұрын
@@shanelawson5072 no I’m leery on that since I have Factor V Leiden which is a blood clotting disorder. Most folks never have issues but I like to be extra careful.

Your awesome Doc! Ps. I recently learned the most efficient way to get magnesium into the body is via the skin. Topical magnesium. Mag-ease by health gems works instantly. Its amazing. You can even feel it relax any pulled muscle. Spray on the area. So good!

Thank you for this info. I have tried several types of magnesium and it just doesn't like me. I become very nervous and anxious after taking it.

@@casual454t1 i took magnesium citrate once. It actually caused my automated breathing to stop. Every time i began to fall asleep id immediately wake up gasping. Then i read reviews of many others having the same issue. It was a brutal night/day.

Beautiful. I take magnesium twice a day. Morning stack w zinc, b6, b12, d and potassium. Night time "stack" with melatonin as well. Zinc is my cheat code to life. Mag helps me be alive so I can enjoy the zinc.
