They might not be the go to brand for pants, but I've always stood by Wrangler. Very affordable and very durable. My personal favorites are the Wrangler Rodeo collection. The originals give a nice loose feel for weekends or work and the slim fits are heaven, they are not skinny jean tight, but are just enough to not look baggy.

What makes Nike better exactly? Because I can say without a doubt that Adidas is MUCH better for casual wear when it comes to their older models like Stans or Superstars because they're a casual wear tennis shoe. Their boost sole shoes are also possibly the most comfortable shoes I've worn in my life. Nike has a niche market that is targeted to the typical "sporty" people that dress in basketball shorts and joggers even when their not on the court. I own multiple pairs of Nike's and brands owned by Nike and I feel that, as a sneakerhead, I can only pull off those shoes when I wear something like joggers or basketball shorts.
