I got a rescue dog last August and have been loving playing out in our fenced yard with him. I love nature and have the fence outlined with perennials. It is so pretty to either play with him out in the yard or sit in our porch and just watch nature, especially the birds. Thanks for your tips.

What a lovely term, garden gazing. I do that too, but I never knew what to call it. My kids say, "Mom is staring at her flowers again." LOL

I love AndyGriffith, too! It is one of my favorite comfot shows. I am 60, and sometimes I feel a bit embarrassed whenmy husband or daughter walk in and I am watching. LOL. But, I don't care. If I need it, I need it. Also, Leave it to Beaver and the Brady Bunch. All these show harken back to a simpler time, heavy on family love and simple story lines, often that have a beautiful moral message and outcome.

I have also found it helpful to specifically write down things I am grateful for in areas that I am struggling. For example if I am feeling unsatisfied with my home I will start to list the things about my home I am grateful for. It can also help when you are annoyed with someone to be grateful for all their positive attributes.

I am a depression sufferer, and I have utilized many of the tips mentioned here that have proven helpful to me. Adopting a pet from a shelter is something I would recommend if you have the means and circumstances to do it. I have my "comfort shows" as well: Big Andy Griffith fan myself, and The Dick Van Dyke Show. Classic T.V. is the best!

I agree on most of what you are saying especially being thankful and what sparks joy in the little things and getting dressed not staying our PJs all day if we don't get dressed each day covid19 or not we will get depressed by staying in our PJs it leads to passivity and inactivity and depression when we get dressed each day it leads to being active proactive and less depression more feeling good about the world around us and we can enjoy life more often than not I like casual dressy I'm not really into dressing up but I love a beautiful hat or a beautiful scarf crestons wife speaking I love t shirt dresses and long dress
