I've had chronic pain my entire adult life brought on by extreme stress and anxiety when my husband died in a car accident when I was just 23 years old with a 3 week old baby. Doctors always accused me of being a drug seeker because I was so young and never got any real help from them. How different my life would have been if I had met one like you. You are exceptional and a rare commodity in today's health care system. Thank you for all the outstanding information!

Marianne, chronic pain is not normal (pain lasting months and years). Acute pain is (pain from something, but it heals). I eat an anti-inflammatory diet like Dr. Berg suggests, but I still have chronic pain. One thing that I’ve added is working on the stress and emotions causing the pain. It’s helped a lot. Look up Dr. John Sarno, Dr. Howard Schubiner, and Nicole Sachs. They all talk about chronic pain (tension myositis syndrome), and the brain getting into a chronic loop that needs to be changed. New neural pathways can be changed in the brain. Like Dr. Sarno says, a broken femur is painful, but after six months, it’s healed, and the pain is gone. Pain shouldn’t go on for months and years on end. There’s two films out there to look for too. “All the Rage” and “This Might Hurt”. The pain is real so there’s no doubting that, but healing the emotions will help with the pain being chronic. Good luck!

@@crh251 thanks for the advice. No doubt a stressful life will compound the pain and my stress started when I was widowed at age 23 with a 3 week old baby to raise alone, promptly became an alcoholic to numb the grief, had a series of health problems which required surgeries and hospitalizations, nursed a dying sister and both parents before I was 30....Thankfully I've been sober for over 30 years now but no wonder I'm in pain! I had Covid last year and my legs blow up like balloons on a regular basis now and no one knows what to do about it. It's so painful i can barely walk.

I’ve read that a small amount of sugar with a high-protein meal can make it easier for amino acids (breakdown products of proteins) to be transported into the bloodstream. This is presumably why our ancestors in all corners of the earth independently invented the concept of dessert. And of course, breakfast tends to be our highest-sugar meal of the day, since our blood sugar is at its lowest when waking up after not eating or drinking for 8 or so hours. Sugar in small amounts & at the right times is crucial to our existence. And I say that as someone who went to war against dietary sugars in 1999 and lost 90 pounds over the ensuing year. I was diagnosed anemic as a teen and was given multiple iron shots, placed on iron supplements, and my mother fed me beef liver as often as she could. Once I was in my 30s, after having my 2nd child 13 months after the birth of my 1st child, making major moves during both of those pregnancies, and being in a multiple car pile up accident 6 weeks after giving birth to my 2nd child, my body completely shut down in severe chronic fatigue. I lived in this fatigue for the next 8-1/2 years until a doctor (who had been trained by Dr Berg, I might add!) diagnosed the source of my severe chronic fatigue was my adrenals. During that time when I went to the dentist, I was told I had 10 cavities and inflammation everywhere, my teeth, my gums, and even in my bones. (I was shocked because I had not had a cavity since I was a teen, and here I had 10 at once.) I had just been diagnosed before that visit as having vertigo because I was so extremely dizzy I could not walk. What the dentist told me about the inflammation made sense to me and explained the vertigo. Thankfully after going to an array of MDs, I found a DC like Dr Berg and trained by him who was the first doctor in 8-1/2 years who diagnosed that my adrenals were the source of the fatigue. Two weeks and 6 treatments later, I had lasting energy once again for the first time in over 8-1/2 years. I never considered the iron part of my overall health history until I this video. Thank you, again, Dr Berg, for sharing your knowledge with so many of us to make a difference in the lives of so many people. Thanks to you I can see how it's all coming together. Now, I make different choices because I understand how I can turn things around. I looked up what drugs trigger gallbladder inflammation. I'm super allergic to erythromycin. Binging on peanuts and omega 6 salty chips, caffeinating my raging cortisol lifestyle with double shot lattes, and surviving the sleepless nights on hyper-estrogenic junk food all came to fruition when I started working at some local wineries. Imbibing all those weird yeasts extended the decades I spent learning about candida --it showed up after taking birth control pills. I've been super aware of the celliac disease from one side of the family without understanding how gallbladder weakness from the genes on the other side also makes grains a problem. Breast cancer taught me about the evils of iron-scavenging bacteria although my case had more to do with the magic of sulfate. Been there. Done it all Should've gotten the t-shirt by now. Rock on, Dr. Eric! Following. Losing weight. Fasting. Making mistakes. Learning. Trying again. Worth it.

Thank you for all the information you provides. I was suffering with inflammation all over my body and I didn't have a clue what to do. Grieving from the loss of my husband, mother, brother, mother-in-love, Started drinking wine so I could get some sleep. That was the worse thing on the inflammation in my body. Again thank you, your work is certainly a blessing.

i was told by my dr i have crazy high inflammation levels, not sure why no diagnosis. constanley on prednisone. dr said it's exhibiting an autoimmune something. MS, RA, and lupus have been ruled out, still no idea what's actually happening. i was crying about this, not knowing what to do, still not having a true firm diagnosis. premature gray hair, a lifelong asthmatic, eczema, sleep apnea, severely obese the weight will not budge and I've had a stroke just after turning 40 a year and a half ago. Adrenals weak. At this point, gotta say thank you Dr. BERG this is the best direction I've had.

He is now off any insulin, has lost weight, doesn't do carbs like he had been, and is doing so good🤗 God Bless you Dr. Berg😇 You are a true light worker for helping so many people to get the answers and help they need. We sure aren't getting the real answers and help we need from the medical establishment. All you get are band aids, pills, and usually no real answers. It's all about keeping the patient coming back for treatment of chronic health issues, and raking in the money😡

I'm on Keto since May15th 2021, I woke up with stiffness, in my shoulder, my knees, my wrists, my hip, all the joints. I have always been against taking things like Tylenol type products for pain, I always knew it could affect my liver. So, I learned to live with the pain and drinking a few beers didn't hurt, so I thought. When I started Keto I was about 20lbs over weight and I knew for the most part diets don't work, maybe they work for the person promoting the diet ($$$) et me back up by saying the reason I thought I had all these pains was because I was a physically active person all my life and I worked everyday using the knees, wrists, shoulders, hips, I thought I just wore my body out. I'm sure to an extent that is true. At the start of Keto I never thought I had a bad diet, I based this on never eating fast foods, ever! Not drinking any soda, not a big desert person, I ate what I thought was good Whole Foods that for the most part I cooked myself. Being Italian I loved my pasta, the good hard crusty breads those were my weaknesses, I'd choose bread and sauce over cake or pie, or ice cream any day. But I was smart enough to know I couldn't eat the breads and pastas often, so I limited myself to eating them maybe once a month or less. I've never had cravings so sugar was never a problem for me. So, I'm on Keto for about 10 days, and I'm not losing weight very fast, but I am noticing that my pains are going away in all my joints. I'm thinking wow, I can get out of bed, get up from a chair and I don't have trouble getting up and no pain. I'm sure it's from cutting out the bad carbs and the beer and limiting my sugar that is already in the foods I buy. I would love to loose more weight, I'm doing intermittent since day one and I went immediately to 18 hours and to as many as 24 hours before having a meal. to date I've lost only 9 lbs and I'm hopeful I will get to my goal in the next several months. I believe what Eric is saying in this video because I lived it. I am the type of person who needs to make the big jump into any kind of program, I can't baby step it to see if it works, maybe that's why my pains stopped so fast, who knows, but today after just 2 months I can walk around with 95 less pain then I did just 2 short months ago... Anybody experience what I'm describing here?

Thank you! I have inflammation and I’m not sure why. However, just a brief note, but it goes back to my childhood, I was very sick from breast implants, had a ton of autoimmune diseases, mold toxicity (I get so sick when exposed to mold!), and I have leg aches almost every day. I don’t have a gallbladder, but I eat extremely healthfully. No grains, sugar, dairy, soy, corn, everything organic, grass-fed beef, etc. I use natural products and use filtered water. I’m wondering if my leg aches are from pistachio nuts and some others (not peanuts!), that may be causing inflammation. I’m in horrible pain almost constantly. Thanks for explaining this. I’m going to share with people I know who think I’m crazy for eating the way I do, but I was so damaged by toxins, I had to entirely change my lifestyle and move. 🙏💕
