In my opinion, viewing your ex's social media is a form of breaking no contact. You will almost always feel worse after viewing their profile. Don't forget, no contact has just as much to do with healing and learning to live without your ex as it does with damage control and making them miss you. My ex of three years broke up with me a little more than a year ago. I immediately went into no contact, but I viewed her social media obsessively for about three months. I stopped when I saw that she was in a relationship with someone else, because I realized at that moment that I would see nothing on her profile that would make me feel better. Only then, could I truly begin to heal. Fast forward 10 months from that day, and I have improved my life in every way partially thanks to YOUR advice! I am now in an exclusive relationship with a beautiful woman. Thanks for all you do, and keep it up!

Why would you ever want to get back together with a girl who was in a "relationship" 3 months after she broke up with you. That girl left you for another dude who she was taking to and probably seeing before you broke up. Never go back to someone who dumped you for someone else! I've experienced this with mine, he decided to block me without giving any actual reasons so I had to ask in favor of my best friend because she helped me out and stuck around. Now that this is my 4th healing process, he decides to unblock and sent a request to attract my attention. I had a hard time blocking then unblocking thinking if it was wrong but I listened to myself taking my time to decide and finally managed to block back because I don't deserve what I got before it is unfair and besides like he mentioned to my best friend that I deserve better.

Me personally, I would say no. 1, it's too soon and you probably won't trust her knowing she left you or left you for another guy. I would consider dating or exploring other options first. You'd be surprised, it might just make you reconsider your decision about getting back with your ex. Remember, it is your decision whether you want her back whether she wants it or not. If you did decide to give it another shot, I would caution rushing back. Take it slow, keep an eye out for behavioral patterns of fallback from her end. If so, do not hesitate and make the first move and end the relationship. Respectfully of course. By no means friends unless your okay with that. Can't blame for getting back with her if you so choose to, best of luck to anyone.

Me & my ex (dumper) have been apart for over 2 months, we've spoken a few times regrettably but just over a month ago i went into no contact after she messaged me about a situation. I had blocked the ex because I knew he was still following me on instagram, even though I unfollowed him months ago. It made me uncomfortable that he was getting access to me still even though he rejected me. Another reason was that him following me gave me false hope because I thought, well he unfollowed his other exes, so this must mean he is still into me somehow. Final reason, while I was no longer posting for his viewing pleasure I would still consider on what he may think prior to posting, which was just unhealthy and hindered me from fully moving on with my life I felt. However, I have subsequently unblocked him, for two reasons: 1. I thought I was feeding his ego. He loves the idea of his exes hating him because its a sign they still want him...not me. That ship has sailed. 2. Since my profile is private and I know he will not send a friend request because that would mean he is giving up power, I know he would rather lose limb. I say that to say this, your ex unblocking you could mean they are becoming more and more indifferent towards you because that's where I am at with him.

You can get through this girl!! Mine blocked me on insta after our breakup. I later figured out on FB it was bc he got official with his side chick (and the reasoning he gave for our break up was a lie) So, I went and blocked him and his entire family (they're the ones who set us up)/mutual friends friends(they already unfollowed me at this point) across all social media platforms. Overkill? Maybe? but now I don't have to subconsciously think about who is looking at my posts and worry about if my life exciting enough, I'm just living. I was you back in October, you feel like the world is ending but there can only be better things ahead😁

I just gave up my last hope. My ex is not coming back to me. I just learned that he´s moving back abroad in a few months to continue his studies. Apparantly I am as insignificant as I have always feared. It was THAT EASY to kick me out of his life for good and not think twice about it. But the first 6 months he was blocking and unblocking on Instagram after the other half he blocked me couple years went by he unblocked me. Now I’m just realizing after 4 years he has unblocked my phone. It varies from peoples different situation.
