Daglish’s first season for Liverpool and he wins the European Cup! Interesting to see him before Ian Rush joined him in attack. What a lethal partnership they were.

3 days later....LFC were at Wembley for The League Cup Final (Forest 0 - 0 and Forest wom replay) big games thick and fast.

Wow! Thanks so much! I've been wanting to watch that back for 46 years! I think that was my first game in the Kop. Until now, I was so convinced Heighway's goal had been disallowed, but now I see he just missed. Bento is the smallest keeper I've ever seen. He must have been the shortest on the pitch

Steve Heighway is my first football hero, I had a Liverpool top with his No.9 on it, possibly got it in 1972 as a wee boy! Also interesting to see a free kick being taken within the penalty box, I wonder what the infringement was as the back pass rule didn't exist then!

He took the high ball down abd set up volley that shaved the post in one move. Amazing technique.

Probably would have been obstruction. It doesn't seem to apply any more.

Free kick would have been for an obstruction. Don't see fouls given for that v often any more.

Bento, stalwart goalie for Portugal but had a nightmare at the Kop end! Also this was a great 'face off' in the battle of moustaches, although I didn't see Graeme Souness on the pitch lol

Steve Heighway I believe scored 76 goals for Liverpool but he had so much more assists, he had the ability to get the ball into the danger area with his pace and skill to beat players, he assisted n 2 goals in their first European Cup final, a key player for many of Liverpools suggests with a style of his own.
