I like them mainly because a lot of the time (Assuming you get them right.) The character does some really badass moves and such. Though I prefer it when it's not where you miss then that it's instantly game over. Still, I like them either way.

IMO I think the Naruto storm series has some of the best QTEs for video games considering how that's their way of highlighting the intensity of boss battles and separating it from regular fights in the game

Loved heavenly sword but it has the worst GTE event for me in any game. I found the final battle really hard and then after it gives you a QTE which if you fail you have to do the hard battle again and I almost drove me insane.
