@Ezra Neal Nope, this is a pretty known trait of the "INF" personality types. It comes from the Introverted Intuition (Ni)/Extroverted Feeling (Fe) combination. Fe allows you to see straight into the core of who someone is like x-ray vision, but Ni is extremely creative and loves to start projecting every possible fantasy of what it would be like to be with that person. You can pick up on if someone is bad news or not incredibly quickly, but unfortunately (and usually to detriment), your intuition is usually correct. Too late, the damage has already been done from too many toxic friendships I thought were normal because they were the only ones I had ever had before. IKR. IT'S SO FRUSTRATING. And it's like, there's not even a solid reason I'm not in love anymore. The worst thing is, that I always just know when my feelings are starting to fade. I really try to keep them as long as possible, but it's hard sometimes. Not like I can do much about it. Sure I always try to be in contact, go on dates, have movie nights and all that. But I sometimes just can't help becoming disinterested and I hate it. So I always end up trying to convince myself that I still love that person and that it's just a phase in the relationship I have to overcome. But I can't do that longer than a few weeks or months. So I break up. It's just... such a shitty feeling. Because you know the other person still loves you, you don't want to hurt that person by breaking up. But at the same time, it's like you're deceiving them by pretending to still be in love and that's worse. Sorry for the long post but this has kinda been weighting on me.

I could spend multiple weeks without contacting them and know they have no problem with that. We'd still get together one day or another and be like "Huh... this time you only disappeared for 2 weeks!" and I obviously can't do that with a lover. Also... even if this might sound tacky, friends are more like family to me. Like literally, they know more about me than my own family lol. It's like... they are the friends I always dreamed about? They're a 100% perfect for me. We just fit. Yeah, and I don't think I've ever really felt that way about a lover even after knowing them for a year or so. Maybe I'm just not good at choosing lovers♀‍🤷
