I relate fully to Riki. Marriage is just luck and honestly, it’s usually whoever the guy is with when he decides he wants a permanent partner. It doesn’t seem to matter who it is.

Often it's when they can no longer get away _without_ proposing because of sociological pressure on his girlfriend to get married. If he doesn't want to risk losing her and is tired of it being a "thing" between them he relents. It's such an outdated institution, I hope things change and people who don't want the contract (and/or children) are no longer shamed into conforming.

Riki is so right about the generalization of cis/hetero women and men in breakups and I think it's because women are more likely to be in tune with our emotions and men are more likely to put walls up. To the person whose manager texted that: be safe. Anyone who's worked in the restaurant/bar industry knows how bad that can get.

The way Riki talked about "being on a hit show" felt really gross for some reason, and I feel like I can see right through to the ugly monster that people hide when they have one to hide, and I think she might be an ugly monster in there. Just the way she worded her responses or something was just awful lol.

Not everyone is an anti-vaxer just bc they are/were skeptical of this vaccine. Ppl aren’t garbage humans just bc they have a different idea of what they want to do with their bodies. I don’t get how ppl try to be accepting of so many things, but that one is okay to judge. I’m vaccinated btw, but I’m friends with ppl regardless.
@JDMimeTHEFIRST Жыл бұрын
But not believing in science and not believing in doing the best for the society you live in does mean you have a fundamental difference in thought. I’m an atheist and still am friends with some religious people, but they do believe equality and basic human rights. They also believe in science. I just can’t be friends with someone who doesn’t believe in facts or learning or improving as a human. That should be respected, too. You can’t people to be friends with those they fundamentally disagree with. That would be too stressful, especially for those of us who grew up with bullies who didn’t want to accept knowledge or diversity. We just don’t want to deal with selfish people. I already have narcissists in my family and can’t deal with people whose thought process doesn’t extend past themselves I like knowing people who think of the safety of others too. So it doesn’t make you a better person to befriend anti-Vaccine believers.
@erintheokay Жыл бұрын
There's a line. It's very different to have a family of people with those flags hanging in their garage and to be anti-vax (those were his words). Foundationally, those issues aren't worth overcoming. Some of us have more self-preservation than to associate with people who don't care about science.
@Olivierstreet Жыл бұрын
Lol, what?
@BriJo91 Жыл бұрын
Because getting vaccinated is not the same as choosing what color shirt you wear. You get vaccinated to protect other people so by not getting vaccinated you are an a******. Also most people who are skeptical of the vaccine are just uninformed so I don't know what else you want me to say other than they are stupid or they choose to be ignorant but either way that makes them fair game to criticize. The majority of the reason that I get vaccinated and wear masks is to protect other people although it does help protect myself as well I'm mostly doing it for the greater good.
@BriJo91 Жыл бұрын
Honestly you sound like somebody who is absolutely an anti-vaxxer and just caved in and got the vaccine based off peer pressure. As an atheist and a nurse, I really don't have time for people who don't believe in scientific consensus and use their beliefs to harm other people which is exactly what most religious and anti-vaxxer people are doing. There is no separation of church and state in this country and now we have people refusing to take public Health measures. If you want to live in a society then you have to protect your fellow citizens or maybe you should just go live on an island somewhere away from the rest of us. It's no different than following the rules of the road or any other laws to keep people safe.

Having a babe alone if you want to be married lowers your chances. Freeze your eggs and focus on actively searching for someone.

Making an option to get married a priority and creating a life around it seems like a really bad idea. Living your life just to be chosen by a man is so sad.
@Melon-Lord Жыл бұрын
@@flyzmajcefly you need to understand that's your prefrence. Some women really want to be married. For those women I'm saying be proactive, go out as much as possible, look presentable, practice flirting. Don't put it on the back burner, have a kid then expect it to increase your chances.

@@Melon-Lordand you need to understand that all of these decisions are up to the people making them. If a person wants a baby more than a relationship, then get after that dream first. The right relationship will come along when you're ready.
