This is my dads 1999 Craftsman Tractor. First cold start of the season. Side note: This has mowed a massive hill for its entire life. I will be making some mowing videos later this year.

Yes, these engines are bullet proof, I own four of them ya just can't beat them, thanks for sharing. And ya they sound more like a Harley than a mower

Amazing condition. I bought a 1998 Craftsman with the 16.5Hp Kohler Command engine for $100. Starts and runs great. About everything else was needing attention. Check out Amazon for a seat cover. $15 and the seat will look much better, and protect what is left of it.

I have a 99 with a 6-speed that runs great, but no deck. We use it to pull a small 12CF dump trailer when doing small tasks around the property. I just picked up a beat-up 48" deck I need to rebuild to get it working as a backup mower.

is it worth buying one for $875? They also include the snow wheels (or chains?) and the plow. I have no idea how well it mows/plows. Do you know the specific model number? Thank you.

I have 2 Craftsman GTs, not as clean as clean as yours. One makes a "whirr -err -err" sound at idle similar to yours. I'm wondering if my PTO bearings are old / dry. I've read some GTs have "Agura" Japanese made PTOs with replaceable bearings. Bearings are much cheaper than a new PTO clutch. Should you replace your PTO bearings, please make a video for those of us who never have. Thanks and nice tractor you have there!

Its normal for that noise when its at idle. Especially if the deck is running. However it could be a pulley on the deck making that noise.

Is it a hydro like this one? Make sure the lever in the back for towing isnt engaged
@mariospano-hl5mb6 ай бұрын
Yes it's a hydro and it has the same rod and pin at the back to engage and disengage transmission when pushing lawn tractor. It seems like transmission doesn't engage.

Im having issues with blade engagement. is it just a cable or a cable with a bar???

If its the same model as this one its electric. Make sure your belts are tight. If it still doesn't work its probably the electric clutch
