I started drinking 2-3 green teas daily about a year ago, and always start the day with coffee since college. Now age 70. Taking no meds. Mother and dad both had cancer. Grandma lived to be 90. We’ll see if this green tree and a little exercise works out in the long run. Also, no booze or tobacco.

I started drinking fresh coffee from the bean 22 years ago after reading an extract from the New England Medical Journal that said people drinking fresh coffee were not getting diabetes when they had the markers for it, back then they didn't have the exact science. I'm overweight with a sweet tooth and at 64 my doctor said he couldn't understand why I didn't have diabetes (20 yrs later) I told him I drink 2 cups of brewed coffee daily. He said what's that got to do with it ? I told him and he shook his head ....

But if you drink too much of it, it will deplete your iron stores - especially your ferritin levels, which will cause hypothyroidism. Please Google it and you'll see how drinking too much green/black teas will deplete your iron stores causing hypothyroidism. I know because it happened to me. My hair was falling out like crazy. Went to doctor and she did blood work. Low ferritin levels, which caused hypothyroidism due to high intake of tannins AKA green tea I was taking.

You can drink or eat all the cancer killing foods and drinks in the world. If you keep up your old habits like eating and drinking unhealthy stuff, it won't help much or not at all. You have to change your lifestyle aswell, which means your consuming food/drinks habits. The modern lifestyle, with overeating and a lot of processed foods and drinks is simply the reason why so many people are suffering from health problems. Foods and drinks in the past/ old times were pure, organic, biological and people ate normal portions.

Dr Li, thanks for your talks, I’d love to hear your views on Essiac tea which is being pushed quite a lot on Facebook.
@Be.OptimalАй бұрын
Essiac tea is an herbal remedy made from a blend of ingredients like burdock root, sheep sorrel, slippery elm, and Indian rhubarb root, and it's often promoted as a natural treatment for cancer and other serious health conditions. However, there is limited scientific evidence to support these claims. Some users report positive experiences, but clinical research has not shown definitive benefits, especially for cancer treatment. It's important to consult with a healthcare professional before using Essiac tea, especially if you're managing a serious condition, as it may interfere with medications or treatments

@Be.Optimal2 ай бұрын
If you have pneumonia, it's best to be cautious with coffee and tea. While moderate consumption is generally safe, caffeine can be dehydrating, and staying well-hydrated is crucial for recovery. Opt for decaffeinated tea or herbal teas like chamomile or ginger, which can be soothing and support your immune system. Drinking plenty of water is essential, and if you do choose coffee or tea, limit the amount and balance it with extra water to stay hydrated. Consultant a health expert for better guidance
