I'm 57 and have been procrastinating for years. Because of you I've come off most social media, painted my mums fences and shed, done her lawn, painted her bathroom, built her swing all in one day. I've been putting it off for ages. Feels great to get them done. Thank you.

Classic story hey, most of us are 40/50 before we properly figure out where we've been going wrong and " If only I could go back and relive my life , knowing what I know now" I wonder if how many of us would actually Implement these ideas given the chance to go back to 21 or just blow it all again!!

I’m glad to have come across such a underrated channel managed by a young man with a mindset that puts you ahead of so many other people accepting of a life of conformity through addiction, as a current stoner I’ve been recently lowering the frequency of relapse after I came to realize that the once every weekend sort of deal turned into a daily thing, your videos truly help me overcome my addiction and give me a whole new perspective on how to quit 🙏 🙏

For real bro I’ve been stuck doing it daily after quitting for 8 months and thinking I could do it every weekend, then it would be a couple times a week. And now back to horrible overall mindset stuck in my shit daily routine
@siltheseeker
@siltheseeker Жыл бұрын
@@disher_ been thru it as well brother. Its literally impossible to do it sporadically because your dopamine receptors will be dumbed down everytime you smoke. Gotta quit and identify as a whole new being. Eliminate all shame off doing it and wasting money and just move on. Only way to overcome that shame is to overshadow your old self. And its honestly ez bc my old self was shvtty💯💯

Nah bro. I just picked up your video, watching it like the other 100's of self-help shitposts that I've been mindlessly accepting (Assuming it has to do with my highly-skewed dopamine levels) but as I kept going through the video, something tugged on my heart and my eyes started to water. This advice is GOLDEN. You're pretty much saying you can be addicted to absolutely anything your 'addiction entities' want because that's their purpose and job, but by becoming the 'observer' and letting these entities know who's boss and you can CUT THEM at ANY TIME. :) An epiphany has overwhelmed me, thank you so much brother.

"Tonight you're gonna make the addiction as bad as possible so that you can't escape it" This is the line that hit me the hardest because I completely relate to it and it's a thought that comes to me everyday and the most twisted part of my mind is that there is also a subsequent thought after it which is like this will be the last time I'm indulging and from tomorrow morning I'll be doing everything perfectly and abstaining from all my addictions but that never happens but in this way I'm giving myself a sort of a free pass to do those things without shame or guilt. Any thoughts on it?
@03giacomo
@03giacomo Жыл бұрын
I used to face those kinds of thoughts as well man. Both of those thoughts are not you, that's what you have to remember. Don't listen to either of them, do what you know you should deep down. You will probably get something from my newest video, its very similar to this one.
@lightball1414
@lightball1414 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, I get that too. The thought that you'll quit tomorrow is just another shot of dopamine and not really in sync with the reality which is the pain and suffering that come with the withdrawal and all of the work you'll have to put into riding it out. The shame and guilt come later after you feel defeated because you indulged and you end up feeling like you have no control. It can really make you feel inadequate and lower your self-esteem. I've learned a whole lot about self-love from my addictions.

I really appreciate you talking about this as well as being honest about your own experience. I got a greencard for my anxiety and chronic pain 3 years ago and instead of using it purely medicinally, I've become an absolute stoner. And I hate it. I stopped just 2 or three days ago and was struggling a lot today. It's not easy to kick a habit, especially one like smoking, but at least knowing it's possible is a comforting thought. Thanks man

I came into this video thinking I would not understand your point of view and that you would not have a sufficient understanding of a topic like this. I am going to say that I was completely wrong though, despite this video not being viral it still has potential to be so. Every now and then I stumble across something and it gives me a eureka moment, I realised when overcome my addictions that I have approached them in a similar way to this but without realising it. this gave me the motivation to keep going with my current path and way of thinking because it confirmed to me that I was right. It's always so intriguing when somebody else thinks of something that you thought you were completely alone on and struggling with, and the other person thinks of the exact same thing and describes it the exact same way. Thank you so much mate, this was the video I didn't know I needed!

I think the real issue here is not the addiction itself, but all areas of our lives that trigger the need to indulge in it. You sure nailed it like always , but I think there is more to it than just a simple chemical addiction , I’m talking about past traumas, life circumstances, self sabotaging the self, and basically all things related to self esteem that put us on “slave mode”

I am currently in the same situation u described in the video… stoner that can’t get anything done. I’ve smoked for 2 years now pretty much everyday multiple times a day. I’ve realized how severe that is and I want to quit. A couple of months ago I went 2 weeks off and thought highly of myself. I remember being so happy and proud of myself until one weekend with friends… led me straight back to square 1. I really appreciate this video for motivation. Thanks I need this message , it's hard when you have any type of addiction for years. I'm working so hard on my thoughts, by praying, meditation, , frequency wave and vibration s. Even with this is help is hard. But I will continue my effort to release any negative thought or switch to a positive one. It's a daily working one. I mean it's feel much better now before I start helping myself. That's why I need to occupy my mind 24/7 by keeping my self busy all the time. Anyway thanks again. 🙌🙏

I am yet to start kicking my weed addiction, I have been totally blasted every evening for the better part of 6 months. I am diagnosed with adhd and struggled with motivation even before I fell in and identified myself as a stoner. A part I found really hard to wrap my head around was trying to identify as productive because I just don't want to be productive, there is no interest in it for me. However this video really changed my perspective on how to handle addiction particularly when you mentioned the "quit smoking" mindset and your thought process of saying "that's not me".
