Five Parks Yoga w/ Erin Sampson

Begin this free 20 minute yoga class class by taking a camel ride! This movement will build heat in the body, while stretching the back side of the body and opening the front of the body. Continue to move the spine in all directions with a seated twist and side bend before moving into spinal balance. Spinal balance will build strength in the front and back side of the body while balancing the right and left sides. Arch the spine in swan before moving into the deep heart openers of puppy pose and sphinx. Belly down spine strengtheners include low and high cobra, locust and floor bow. Elongate the spine and open the hips in child’s pose. Build core strength by moving fluidly between up and down dog. Camel and rabbit pose are back to back and will flex and extend the spine. Continue to build strength up until the end of class with reverse table top, bridge and wheel. Wind down with a reclined twist, head to knee pose and Savasana!

Another great little "Go To" class for the same reason as many of your other followers have said! Thank you so much Erin. Your classes are both helpful and inspirational as are you! And to the lady who asked the question whether others in their 60s struggle with the wheel, yes just discovered I do! 😂 Haven't practised the wheel for probably a few years which I always did with no problem. But not today😮🥴. Didn't seem to have the muscle strength and/or flexibility to raise my forehead off the mat! 🤷 Will definitely be including this great class on a regular basis. 😊

Great little flow! Thank you! Loved it. 🙏🏽. I used to do a wheel but in the last few years I seem to have lost strength in my shoulders/arms 😢… maybe age related? Any older women here experiencing muscle weakness in late 60’s? Thanks Erin ❤❤❤❤

I'm 63 and after a couple of years of health issues I lost a lot of muscle strength. I've been steadily regaining it but it's a bit slow going. I just keep pushing myself to do a little more every day which seems to be helping quiet a bit
