This 20 minute varied interval training workout is all about changing up the intervals, and pushing yourself to do your best pace, for an ultimate fat-blasting weight loss workout. We'll warm up for 5 minutes, and then go into a variety of fast and slow intervals to challenge your body. This is great at home workout for weight loss while also getting stronger and more toned. If you're used to working out with 'Improved Health', this is considered an intermediate level workout. Total step count today is 2273 steps.

You are hands down my favorite exercise channel. I used to follow another channel that offered high-intensity low-impact workouts, but I kept suffering injuries that caused me to pause exercise for days or even weeks while recovering. Since finding your channel, I haven't had any injuries but I definitely get sore and stronger. Love, love, love your workouts, and this one was fantastic!

Love the music will do this workout later but it looks so good. The bell is helpful sometimes I turn away from the tv and you have started the next exercise. Thank you Jules for all your workouts I never get bored because they are always different.😄

This is brilliant! Love the varied intervals, which were a good shake-up for both body and mind. Just what I needed on a wet morning, thank you! As for the bell, I like it as I often look away from the screen and lose myself in the music and movement, so it keeps me on track. Another winner, thank you Jules 😊

Well that got the heart rate up and I now need another shower! Love the different timed intervals. I know you asked on FB about the bell. I don't think you need it if you have the clock. Managed this one without being interrupted by thunder storms today but it's still very humid here. Thanks for great workout. X

It's just that I work full-time outside of what I do on YT so it's hard to find the time. As someone who was an avid runner for years (2 half marathons and a dream to do a full in the future!) and had to stop due to life circumstances, I so appreciated this workout! I think I will try to do it every week until I feel confident enough to ease myself back into some light jogs outside! I do like the bell because I place my laptop from which I play your videos on a low surface and I like that I don't have to be looking down at the screen the whole time in order to know how much time is left. The intervals are definitely a great way to get back into running again. Each spring I do similar workouts outside by walking, jogging slowly, walking, etc., until I can jog longer and not walk as much. I have plenty of interval workouts which you can change up so you have different ones to use.

Super-charged!!! I appreciated the "bell" at the end of each interval...to do the 30- and 45-second half-jog pace that I can achieve, I have to "get into the zone"...which usually means my eyes are closed!

Thank you for another superb video Jules. Perfect for increasing heart rate and strengthening heart muscles. I personally love the bell as when I am pushing myself really hard I tend to look at the floor as this helps me focus better on my goal for that particular section.

Wow! Excellent workout! Quite challenging for me, but the constant change-ups in the intervals really helped keep me going. For the fast intervals, I also varied the steps (some wide stance, close stance), high knees, running around the room instead of running in place...all that helped me not to notice how much energy I was exerting. Just an excellent design for this workout. Thanks so much, Jules!

Rainy cool Monday in Texas. This workout got my heart pumping! Trying to work up to jogging and managed a few of them. But that cool-down? That was NOT! You tricked us into working out even more! 😂 EDIT: KEEP THE BELL. I DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO WATCH A CLOCK DURING THE ENTIRE WORKOUT. IT'S TOO DISTRACTING.

love this one!!! love the various intervals!!!will do this one frequently . also love the bell! as i also lose sometimes concentration. and I like it that you give the full routine warm up and stretching afterwards as this is important but sometimes one skips this stretching. and as you add as part of the workout it is done all in one. thanks🙂

Good workout. During the "breathe" periods I do pelvic tilts, hip circles and hip bumps to the left and right. adds a bit more ab workout.

Guten Morgen Jules...wie immer, ich liebe deine Trainingseinheiten...mache jeden Tag mit DIR !!! Bin 59 Jahre und tut mir so was von gut !!!! Bin gerade dabei die 25 Tage Challenge zum stärker werden zu machen...ich liebe sie, freue mich jeden Tag drauf...und ich fasse es nicht!!! ....ich schaffe die Planke schon 50 Sekunden...hätte ich nie gedacht...DANK DIR und deiner großartigen Motivation ❤ Was kann ich danach machen um noch stärker zu werden, bzw. Noch mehr Muskeln aufzubauen??? Ich liebe es mit Hanteln zu trainieren...und Muskeln wachsen zu sehen...fällt sogar schon meinem Mann auf..😂 Bis bald Jules und ganz herzliche Grüße aus Österreich 🇦🇹

Thanks so much for your great feedback. I'm glad to read that you're enjoying the strength workouts and looking forward to continuing with them! After the 25 day program, there is a 5 day program (just look under the 'intermediate level strength' playlist. You can do the 5 day program for several weeks. When you get tired of that one, or want more of a challenge, there is a 2 day program to follow (upper and lower body).

Jules, I loved this video. Since November I’ve lost 30 pounds. I need to lose about another 25-30. I love love all your videos, but I can’t narrow it down to what I need. Can you give me some suggestions on what to do for belly fat? I’ve got 2 months off school to really work hard .😊

First of all, a massive congrats on losing 30 lbs, Deborah! Wow, that's amazing! In regards to belly fat, when we lose weight, we lose weight all over so it won't just come off your belly, but everywhere. I have a workout calendar on my website if you want workouts laid out for you in a monthly calendar (www.improvedhealthforseniors.com). If you want to maximize your workouts, my suggestion is to do strength training 3-4 times a week, intervals twice a week, one long cardio workout a week, and then mix in 30 min or so for the other days (you can do the strength workouts along with cardio). If you're not doing strength training, I would highly recommend starting since getting stronger will make a big difference (the more muscle you have, the faster your metabolism will get).

Hi, I'm not sure what you mean by 'space'. If you have knee issues, I would suggest using the gentle or beginner level workouts (this is a more challenging intermediate level workout). Everyone is different so it's a matter of finding what works best for you. If you start with the gentle or beginner level workouts, see how your knee feels, and then go from there.

Hi! All exercises that challenge you will help with belly loss. When we lose weight, we lose it all over. Some people tend to carry more weight in the middle, others on the backside, and so on. When you start to lose weight, it'll gradually come off everywhere, including your middle. Just keep working out and over time, the weight will drop off and you'll see a flatter mid-section. This workout is particularly good for weight loss.
