2005 Nissan Armada & Titan shifter control module replacement.

If you can't shift into reverse or park from drive, or if you can't shift out of park, it may be your shifter control module.

I have a very similar issue , my armada won’t show at dash the highlight on the shift selection plus no engine turn over , the other day shift got stuck at drive and down it won’t pass reverse, I think this video is real helpful

Just wondering if anyone knows?... I looked this part up on a a few nissan parts sites, and they all say it doesn't fit my vehicle (titan). I also put in the 2005 Armada and it says it does not fit your vehicle. Just wondering if the part number has changed? I totally believe you, and this video is great! Thank you for the tutorial. Hoping this is the fix since the brake light switch wasn't the issue.

It actually said Nissan Murano on the packaging. I just went into the dealership, gave my year, make, model, and the name of the part I needed. The way the past is manufactured, the bracket can be clocked to fit other vehicles apparently. It was set up perfectly for the Armada out of the package.

The air-box modification removes a 90° restriction from the path that the incoming air has to take. It may be more of a placebo in terms of power/efficiency gain(s), but it does sound cool 😎 when you slam the throttle open.

Do you have a video for the hot and cold actuator? My "floor vent to dash vent to defroster clicks when I switch between them, would lime to replace it or both. Assuming they're in the same area? Any tips would be appreciated.

The module should be in the same location. It just has wires plugged into it. No linkages.

The brake light switch is directly above the brake pedal. If you follow the pedal arm up behind the kick panel, you can't miss it

I should've mentioned that initially. At around minute mark 5:45, "from the dealership". Because the price was so low I was able to order it over the phone without having to prepay. It came in the next day. Good luck.

I have a 2004 Nisan armada and my issue is it will not start or crank. But it’s making a clicking noises after you try to crank it. Also something is draining my battery. It’s only a year old and I purchased it from Oreilly’s. In the beginning I thought it was a starter but the starter is engaging just no start. I have to keep other car connected to it with jump cables in order to keep power to the armada. So I have a issue with no start no crank and battery draining. Can you help me out?

My suggestion, test the starter. My Armada is a 2005 and I'm on my third stater.

Will a bad starter cause the battery to drain?

@edwin rogers If there is a short in the solenoid, yes. The main positive lead that goes to the starter's solenoid is always hot.

Always start with testing. Depending on the results, replace inexpensive parts first then move up the line. Fuses, builds, switches, and finally modules. Good luck 👍🏾.

It can cause that issue. If removing the little lockout plug next to the gear shift and sticking something into it allows the shifter to go into park, then I'd replace the module.

I have a 2005 Titan and it won't engage in reverse if anybody knows anything about this I've rebuilt trannies before without problems Just never a foreign transmission so help me please

You should join the group "ClubArmada" on the internet. There is a guy who uses his Armada as a patrol vehicle. The reverse went out and he not only had it repaired, but some sorta shift kit was installed to make it stronger.
