This is a very nice tutorial! I did my 300C brakes a couple of years ago and installed new rotors/calipers/pads. I have to replace the front wheel bearing hubs now and wanted to review how to take the brake system apart and reinstall. Your video will be extremely helpful in this. Thank You and kind regards!

Great instructional video, even ordered the parts you recommended. The only problem was the parts you used were for an AWD vehicle, mine is RWD (12.5” rotors). Opps! Once I got the right rotor and brakes, it was a breeze except for those damn caliber bolts. Thanks a bunch!

Thank-you so much for this video, I have watched it a couple times prepping to do my brakes and your explanation made it so that when I actually did them I didnt run into any trouble (aside from the resistance from those bolts on the caliper bracket 😅)

@@BLUECOLLARGARAGE Great video by the way. Changed out the rotors/pads on my 300 55k miles ago. Started developing Shudder recently. Took apart to notice the pad clearance cut completely full and glazed over. Knocked out the burnt up pad dust from the crack and the shudder at low speed went away. Still shudders at speeds above 60mph. Can't win. I noticed your pads had the clearance cuts still. I believe the harsh winters up here is the cause.

hey man, I just want to say thank you for making this video. I had creaking noise that never went away despite me going to my mechanic. long story short after 3 visits with him. it got even louder. FOund your video and decided to do it myself and see whats making the noise. lets just say i won't be going to that mechanic again as he did the lazy route of just caking on grease without cleaning it or anything. First time touching my brakes and honestly hands down the best video and FULL information step by step on how to change the brakes. I appreciate you taking the time to make this. Btw, how is the powerstop z17 brake pads holding up? i just need to change my brake pads as i saw it was getting low and my OEM rotors are still good so far cuz i only have 44,000kms about 27,500miles (I live somewhere that uses the metric) lol!

@BLUECOLLARGARAGE10 ай бұрын
I did bleed the whole system off camera just to get new fluid in there because I don’t know how old it was. I think the single piston works just fine for this car I don’t think a dual piston caliper would be worth it especially because this car is not very heavy.

Thank you SO MUCH for your in depth how-to!! I have my parts ordered to change out my pad and rotors (front and rear) on my 2014 3.6L and I have one question please: Are the tightening foot pounds for the calipers and caliper brackets actually that much different for front and rear?
