Currently, MSRP for the 2019 rebel with the 5.7-Liter V8 HEMI® MDS VVT eTorque Engine with no other added options other than the engine is $47,990 Currently, MSRP for a base 2019 Ford supercrew (4 door) is $52,855. Yes, you can get discounts off the Dodge. I know because I bought a 2018 Dodge Charger scat pack with dynamics package for $37,300. But the price difference is not that big. Obviously, with the Raptor being a speciality truck, you won’t be getting any discounts, but you can get it at MSRP and when Dealers still have previous model, you can get them under MSRP brand new.

Joe Momma right now in the Utah market, the average raptor is selling for about 80-85k and average rebel 40-45k. Maybe some people can get the truck down to msrp, but a fully loaded raptor is still over 70k msrp

Ben Hardy that’s just people that don’t know how to buy cars. I buy all of my cars 4-5k off MSRP brand new. Here in Cali, Dealers mark up the Raptor too. You just have to do a little hunting and you will find one at MSRP. You don’t know how to look for cars. I just found a bunch of Raptors under MSRP in Utah. It’s much easier to get one under MSRP in Utah compared to Cali. Cali is much more difficult and I managed to custom order one at MSRP. A fully loaded Raptor does not give you better performance. All of my sports cars and now truck are base models. The price difference is not nearly as bad as what you stated. There are also Dealers here that are selling Raptors for 90k. Ben, What do you think of this deal i have 2019 Ram 1500 Limited 4x4 full loaded other then e-torque. 5 months ago upgrade tire nitto 34 level it added the links installed the Hellwig rear sbar. for 2019 Raptor loaded both trucks have about 47K dealership wants $8000 i did get under the truck had them put it on the rack looked like it never been offroad. one owner looked at ford history seems normal nothing outside of oil change and tailgate recall . what do you think?

Ford recommends 93 gas for highest performance Ram says 87 is ok for the 5.7 but 89 is recommended. Not that we buy trucks to save gas😂 but it’s something to take note off. When looking at vehicle expenses

If I were to get a gasser for everyday driving, I’d get the Raptor. We have a 2019 Ram 3500 Limited Mega Cab dually with the high output Cummins to haul for the business, but driving and parking the thing around Denver is a pta. Great job keeping the review as unbiased as possible. At least until the end. Lol!

Ben Hardy very true, however resale value on the Raptor is higher than any other half ton truck. I forgot the KZbinr who posted depreciation values for 2018 half tons, but the Ram 1500 was the second worst, following the Nissan Titan XD. Ram really stepped up their game with the 2019’s, hence the reason we bought our 2019 3500, but we’ll have to see what the depreciation numbers will be for next year. I’ve always been a blue oval loyalist, but Ram pulled me away this year with their heavy duty line up. Your reviews also helped us make our decision to buy as well. I wish you could have gotten commission on our truck!

Rubbed N' Tugged BBQ that makes a lot of sense and I need to make a video on depreciation with real selling values. I bought my 2018 rebel for 44k and it sold for 42k after a year and about 9500 miles. Whereas the raptors are selling here for about 85k and a used 2018 is selling for around 62k.

I had the 17 Rebel with rambox's that I absolutely loved but it couldn't handle the trails (mainly beat up logging roads and rocky mud hills). with only 16k miles my air suspension was losing air and lopsided in the front and the front wheel bearing hubs needed to be replaced. traded it in for the Raptor and it is eating the trails up. Both nice vehicles but if you plan on taking them off road for work/play I would tip my hat to the Raptor

Who gets air suspension on an Off-road truck? Seriously, I don't understand. Doesn't the air suspension inhibit travel distance? Isn't it more prone to wear on uneven terrain?

Definitely the Raptor love the rebel but it just can't compete out of the box when it comes to off road. I'd take the Interior of the rebel tho.

Dont know what you are talking about. 35 inch tires on Raptor and ridges on hood are not cosmetic, they are functional heat extractors. Also, the 3 lights above grill are required by law due to width of Raptor.

Ben Hardy OP is correct. There is no off road truck that can compete with the Raptor. The Rebel is probably the closest competitor. I love Rebels. But I got me a 2019 raptor because they are simply the absolute best off road truck money can buy.

The upcoming Rebel TRX with the Hellcat 6.2 should handily rape the Raptor without much effort- my only major gripe about the current Raptor is the nasty sounding V6- and it's dismal fuel economy; I thought the whole point of the Ecoboost was better fuel economy??? With a 10 speed to boot it's mileage is unacceptable for a vehicle at this price point. A pushrod V8 in a heavier truck with two less gears getting better fuel mileage is embarrassing. Come on Ford.

I don't believe the Rebel is a direct competitor to the Raptor- it seems to be more of a rock-crawling off- road truck, whereas most everyone views the Raptor as a high-speed off-road baja-style truck. I drove ford for many years, Haven’t been in one in about 17 years, The last one I owned was a Bronco 2, 4 inch lift 31-10-50 tires. I drove it for 8 years hunting never got stuck,lots of problems in those 8 years, Always smelt antifreeze, couldn’t stop the oil leak from valve covers, Transmission rebuild at 90 thousand miles, New water pump about every 2 years, But before I sold it I put every new on it, Put a few thousand in it sold it for 1,000 to a brother on word, If he ever sold it to sell it back to me for the same, Didn’t see it again for about 10 years still running,Wished I still had it for hunting,The turning radius was unbelievable, I guess that’s why I use to get papers from a law firm trying to sue ford,Throw the papers in the trash, I know Ford makes better vehicles today, I watch a lot videos on Utub on vehicles, I like all the truck videos, But my favorite Truck is Colorado ZR2, Not the biggest not the fastest, My opinion the smoothest,
