At 22:00 you can see the side step of the rebel take a huge impact from the slick rock. It looks like it got bent slightly. I loved this review it was super informative and well cut and put together. You guys did really good! I don't think I would pay the extra for the raptor. I love that Rebel a lot! I think I could spend a bit of that 15k on a lift, tires, and front locker and it would crush all these comparisons.

One thing y'all should compare is headlights since all 3 now offer led. I'm kinda curious which one would be the best for driving in the mountains or anywhere when it is pitch black out

@@malifestro7596 I thought the same thing about the sidestep no mention of that. I think both of the sides took large impacts, but driver's side look worse. Also if you see the rebel on tailpipe crusher the left bumper was dragging on the drivers side. They only showed the side next to the tail pipe. I do admit the Rebel plowed for everyone else. Curious why you didn't show the Raptor tail section like you did with the Boss and Rebel. I actually thought the Trailboss was going to get the most damage. I just find it funny that the Raptor is last. I mean isn't it the most offload worthy. Instead they let the Boss and Rebel find the lines.

I get tired of seeing all of theses off road tests ( not just TFL) being done in rocks and sand in the desert. Much of the country does their off roading on logging roads through forests. We encounter mud, clay, swamps, sand, rocks, mud slicked hills, streams etc. It would be nice to see people test off road vehicles when the frost is coming out of the ground in the spring in the mid west. You'll see how capable your vehicle is then.

Why do people always complain about blank interior switches, in my opinion they put them there for aftermarket addons, like say you want to add a light bar or something like that which will need a switch to turn it on well there you go now you have a factory switch for it and you don't have to put a switch for it under your dash or god forbid drill a hole in your dash somewhere to put in some crappy aftermarket switch! Maybe it's just me but I like having some blank factory switches that I can use when I put some aftermarket stuff on my truck. Personally I think it's a good idea, let me know what you think!

If they are actual switches. Probably just blank plates where switches could go. Can only imagine what a switch would cost at the dealership. Even if they are switches, they are still blank. Do you write labels for them if you wire them up? I like having extras, but the blank faces would still trigger me.

Its cool that Andre shed some light on something most people don’t know or talk about... The Torsen front diff in the Raptor. You hear about front locker this and front locker that, but nothing about the Torsen. Having an “automatic and mechanically locking” front diff is a big advantage in a thousand different scenarios. Another reason the Raptor really is in a class of its own.

If you want an off-road truck to do what they did in this video, go with the Raptor or even the new RAM TRX. But if you want a nice looking truck to use as an excellent daily driver with good off-road capabilities IF you do off-roading, the Rebel is the way to go due to the price difference between the Rebel and the Raptor; plus, the interior of the Rebel is a great place to be on long trips. The Raptor is hands down the best offroad vehicle you can get straight from the factory. From the 4 wheel drive system to all the technology in it, it's just the best. I wish so bad I could afford one. Lol. Definitely my all time dream truck. As for the other two, the Silverado may have faired better in the obstacles but I live in Louisiana and we dont have rocks to crawl over so I'd pick the Rebel all day long if it was between the Silverado and Rebel. Plus the Rebel looks so much better both inside and out IMO. Cool vid but I wish they do an all mud riding video with all the same tricks but also with a regular F-150 to see the difference between the Raptor and regular F-150.

You would have thought Ford borrowed millions of USA citizens tax dollars to revamp their line and have a truck that puts out 100hp more ,117 ft lbs more torque and gets 1 mpg less even tho its wider, heavier, and sits higher in the wind, with larger heavier tires. Nope it was GM and they still have the old pushrod 355hp, anemic by comparison engine and crappy interior and seats. God forbid if Ford wasn't here I would buy the Fiat myself it looks way more offroad and has better seats and interior than the mundane Chevy imho. How am i on crack? go look at used 2017 models and tell me how much they lost their resale value. so in other words i'm guessing he traded his truck into one of those typical big car dealership and they low balled him on his trade in because they knew how much he wanted an older raptor with a v8? lol well gee there's his problem. Everyone with common knowledge knows that you get low balled with trades in from big car dealerships. He obv didn't do much looking around before trading it in, to get suckered into to paying 15k ontop of his trade in for a raptor that was 2 years older. So unless he had a decent amount of miles on his truck already and the raptor that was 2 years older had hardly any miles on it, then there should've been no reason why he had to pay that much for it ontop of his trade in. You're friend got played. I used to work for a big car dealership and i've seen all the tricks car salesmen use to do to sucker people into paying more for a car than it's actually worth on new and used cars.

The Trail Boss took this test...the Raptor has a ton more invested and it dragged the rear of the truck consistently. For the extra 20K it shouldn't drag at all and have a real engine, not a Cheapoboost V6.Furthermore the Ram Rebel probably has the worst approach angle due the narrow city slicker nose, looks more like a sedan than a truck. It did seem to handle itself OK,just don't look at the front and rear of the truck after off roading/rock crawling and you will be fine. The G80 auto locker is still used due to the simple fact that most people who buy these types of trucks only see pavement and occasional holiday snow/sand or mud adventures. Therefore it is less cost and safer than the other style on the average road or highway.

you know that Ecoboost beat the 6.2 in a drag race by these guys right? so it seems like a real engine to me

I'll tell you what:put a turbo on the 6.2L and watch it embarass the Cheapoboost V6.Anything you do to a V6 can easily be outdone by a V8,end of story.Furthermore in AZ where I live the Cheapoboost engines are cooking in our 100+ degrees temps.I have a friend thathas bought a 2014&2016 F150 Cheapoboost and both engines let go,the first at 28,000 and the second at 32,000.Garbage.

Put a small lift on the Rebel and it outclasses the Chevy by far. Having control over lockers and with how much nicer the interior is... not even close. Nice to see Chevy finally try and get into this though, excited to see more

Trail Boss is under developed, Rebel is pretty cool minus the grill, but the Raptor is just plain SICK. Yea it has the biggest price tag, but it is head and shoulders above the competition here.

The raptor is built for high speed off road trails and dune jumping not low speed rock climbing

They did both, the raptor won in the Offroad speed capability. The raptor also has a rock crawl setting.

@@guyontheinternet8891 The only true rock crawler off the lot if a Wrangler Rubicon, but just about any 4x4 will do if you throw enough money at it. There are plenty of off road situations where half tons are much more usable than a Wrangler, this type of stuff just isn't it.

William Stewart I just ripped my raptor through a crazy mud pit the other day and buried it after work, it’s much more than a dune machine, it can handle all types of terrain with ease, a lot of people use their raptor for its purpose, look on Instagram, don’t just assume things and be salty

I'm in Ghana, West Africa and I never regret having a brand new 2018 Ford Raptor. Though I can't underate the comfort my land cruiser gives me , but with raptor , I don't think I will ever get a High Blood Pressure even till my 90th birthday.
