This is some seriously cute car, and correctly priced. Wish we had them in Europe. For the youngsters out there: The Sentra was USA 's most popular import car of 1983 with an unbeatable fuel consumption. Looks like it still remains loyal to it's heritage. Thanks for the great review! 😉

CVT issue; fixed Design; good Price; hell good! Engine reliability; good Interior design; excellent I’d get this over a Civic or Corolla because of how good it is. Nissan is underrated. What more do they need to do to this to make it better?…apart from adding an e-Power variant?

People will say the CVT, but I have a 2021 Sentra, 80k miles, Ive also driven a 2019 Sentra, the CVT was tweaked, it actually “shifts” like a regular automatic transmission, also with that they became more reliable. Dont know HOW reliable, but way less reports of CVT failure

I rented a Toyota Corolla. I was shocked at how unrefined the 4 cylinder was. Next time I rented a Sentra. Much more comfortable, upscale feel. Quiet and great ride and handling. I did use the Sport Button and, while it did not turn it into an F1 racer, in my experience it did markedly improve acceleration. I liked it much better than the Toyota Corolla

I like the direction Nissan is going with their designs and I hope they manage to elevate themselves above the “Chrysler of Japan” reputation. I recently bought a Corolla but if there was more time between now and the “Jatco CVTs always fail” reputation they earned I could definitely see myself in a Sentra instead.

Just got the 2024 SV basic version for $22,500 after all expenses. It’s a good deal if you don’t wanna spend $30-40k which means you would save $200-400 monthly.

Early 2000s had the SE-R Sentra and sheesh, 6 Spd manual were times we didn't know how good we had it Yet this w/ such poor gas mileage alternatively (45+ mpg) and not nearly as fun affordable sports-like car?! Shame. But the interior quality looks way more improved though to give them credit I want Nissan to win again, come on

I haven’t experience any issues with Nissan CVT and have owned 3 in the past and sold them with over 100000 miles and bought the 2024 Sentra after my Honda Pilot 2019 with 32000 miles failed injectors and fuel pump (can’t even drive it to trade in)

i have a 2021 sr premium and the interior is 100% the same...only differences are rear bumper(trunk is same) and front-end got redesigned....

Every now and then a thought will creep into my mind like " maybe ill get an Altima or Sentra just for shits and giggles, make some people mad😈" People forget that these things are SUPPOSED to be cheap Point A to B cars. What else are they expecting?? Also, Nissan is one of the few that still offer interesting color options (like that orange) for cheap which is pretty nice in my opinion

Not familiar with that 'Sport Button'' mode in the Sentra, but on my 2021 Kia Forte, putting it into it's 'S' mode keeps it above 2000 RPM's at all times....which I really really love btw (AND which you have the option to shift thru manually too! Which Sentras can't do).

​@mslafay7 I bought the metallic gray SR premium a couple of weeks ago, with the black 18 in wheels. I got it at MSRP which is the crazy part. And I came from owning a 2016 Altima SR that had 133k never had CVT issues, or any other major mechanical problems. And it wasn't loaded like the Sentra. Felt like an upgrade to me.

Speaking of sedans it will be interesting to see the strategy that Hyundai/Kia are trying to do. They want to make a push of its sedans to see if they can make a difference in this segment. It involves rising cost and interest rates on its other segments.

Was ride quality affected by the low profile tires on the SR? bumpy ride? Got an Altima with the SR package and those low profile tires, and it rides like crap on anything other than smooth interstate pavement.

I've got my Frosted Flakes and Coke Zero and I'm buckled in! Let's go! I love the fact that the Nissan Sentra has a real, old-fashioned retractable sunroof. Nothing is better than light and air in the cabin. Still, I hate the cheap plastic Toys R Us quality infotainment screen plopped on top of the dash. I agree with you too. Give us a manual transmission.

Once you start speccing this car past 25K, it doesnt seem as much of a value as say an elantra or compact utility vehicle. I'd say the SV trim with the climate package is about as high as I'd go.

A heavily, and I mean heavily, subsidize lease on this rapidly depreciating POS might be good assuming you don't exceeded the miles, and you have a dealer who will actually do warranty work.
