No idea why people are still so suprised the Cayman/Boxster drives so well.. Better midengine layout, lighter, 90% same 911 hardware underneath, it's not hard to understand why this car is so great and drives so well, arguably better than most 911's.. It's also fast enough, anyone saying you need more power is probably breaking the law every single time they drive on the public road.. 300+HP is plenty..

Doesn't sound bad for a four cylinder. You mentioned inline 4 but I'm sure that it's a boxster 4. You seemed enthusiastic about it which surprised me since I figured you'd be ruined for cars like this after driving the 750s.

It really does sound as good as a 4 banger can sound. Give me that N/A flat 6 though over this any day; you only live once. Can’t believe Porsche has the nerve to castrate this with electrification next year.

I have a 2018 base with 6MT and I track it. The choice was used Cayman or new Miata Club. A new Cayman is expensive (I paid 50 for a 20k mile lease return) and you won’t be winning drag races with it, but on a track with a mildly experienced driver, it’ll put down surprising lap times.

Electrification is dead. The emperor has no clothes and most finally figured that out. This is a great car: 300 HP, mid-engine, Porsche handling, lightweight, and not crazy expensive. Plus manual transmission. Nothing shameful about buying this.

Weight of some of the newer sports cars is a big disappointment for me. They are very nice and capable cars, but the weight has a price as you mentioned. That looks like a fun car.

I have driven almost all the Porsche models, not every version. I really liked the Cayman, but I did order a 911 Turbo S. The Cayman was slow but it really, really handled well. Probably the best handling car I have driven. My C4 Corvette was a close second. I haven’t driven a C8 Corvette and don’t how close it comes from personal experience. I had a chance to purchase a GT4RS and I really wanted it, it would not suit the type of driving I do, which is street driving. That is an awesome track car and I am done going to the track. also I ran out of garage space. I like to keep my cars at my home.

I just got 718 Boxster S I agree straight line speed isn’t everything Coming from A Stage 1 Golf R that does 4.3 seconds The handling OMG 😮 So nimble, so light.

Speed Phenom Awesome Review I think that Porsche 718 Cayman Style Edition looks pretty cool and sounds pretty cool and I can't wait to see what you'll review next
