We don’t know yet if new Tacos will hold their value, those 4 cylinders are not proven yet. I think with those kind of prices ,Toyota should keep them in storage wrapped in plastic bubbles. If those only gonna hold value or keep prices Toyota definitely think to sell them to collectors in 40 years, not to the public. Please remove them then from dealers lots those are not for us , 🤷‍♂️

People are buying insanely expensive everything. How much worse is it to buy a this truck? Until the demand is crushed by a recession or credit tightening, people will continue to make uninformed financial decisions. Sorry, you caught me in a negative moment. Exactly my friend with the birth of credit, people have been spending recklessly for a long time. I heard back during the holidays most Americans maxed out their credit cards so I'm not sure where these new purchases are being funded from because I've been hearing for a long time that majority of people are out of money and credit.. guess not

I think it seems pretty good value. A base Land Cruiser is over £74,000 with the Land Cruiser costing nearly £80,000 for a good specification.

Yea I mean good or bad this is our new Toyota pricing.. we just gotta get used to it and pray there will be discounts on future TRD Pro or top spec Toyotas but that's unlikely. I wouldn't pays over $70k USD for any Toyota would rather just get a Lexus.

Yea discounts on regular tacos but TRD pros there’s almost never been discounts so we’re stuck at that $65k number.. for now. Even on 5th Gen TRD Pro 4Runners Jim is at sticker for those which is $57k

I was a believer (of sorts). But then I rented one and towed a trailer and 10 water heaters, within 200 lbs. of its capacity. For 500 miles, the poor thing was barely able to pull the load in 3rd gear at ridiculous v-6 revs, often shifting to 4th gear, inordinately lugging, then back to 3rd gear. As much as I hate American trucks (blinded by their headlights, windshields ruined from their tires, views and lanes obstructed by their girth, etc.,) I now know why people buy them. This is a Toy, excuse the pun. It’s for kids who want cool but don’t haul anything meaningfully.

@@CaptainWillard830 I’m sure he’s referring to the regular 4 cylinder turbo model. Most trucks surprisingly have terrible capabilities. I’m testing a Honda Ridgeline right now with a 1500 lb payload capacity…surprisingly that’s the same if not more than many full size trucks. We had a 2021 tundra and we put a pallet of LVP flooring in the back.. truck was sagging to the floor thought the frame was going to split in two. Ford typically make the most capable trucks on paper with highest payload and towing figures but most trucks are weak especially the higher luxury trims. And nobody ends up buying the RWD work variants

I'm not sure what's going through the minds of so many people where they max out credit cards and pay the minimum balance at 25%-35% interest... just digging an endless pit they can never climb back out of. When I was a kid I thought adults were too sophisticated to fall for these obvious traps but guess not. You can screw up a home purchase almost any decrepit home will continue to rise in value but credit cards and cars, man you gotta be careful with those.
