Exactly!!! This is why I rushed to buy a 2024 XL I knew they'd ruin a good thing (profit first, customers second). Even the first generation could have been less tech oriented for many of us that don't want to pay for the tech garbage that we don't want, need and will never use (hear that Mr. FORD!). A lot of the country just wants a new reliable and functional vehicle for daily use.

You want a Mitsubishi Mirage. Slow, basic, very little technology. I love it.

I have a mirage, great little car. You can actually find them for MSRP too, which I haven't seen with the maverick.

it's ok in city. Scare the poop out of my but in hwy. each time an incoming car went by, it woobled. cant imagine involve in an accident. I refuse to drive it to hwy.

We have a24 that is a delivery truck. XL and seems to do it's job perfectly. Ideally, would have memory positions for the seats for the different drivers we have. Better stereo that I've ever had in a stock vehicle.

Happy as hell with my 23 Mav Lariat. Every option and way better looking front from that horrible new U-shaped bumper. O.K. so 4 wheel drive on the hybrid is nice, but it's only useful in cold states and snow-covered mountain passes, but it will never get 40+ MPG like my front wheel drive only hybrid. Agreed, they strayed with this big success. We'll see what happens.

This really isn't a truck, it is an SUV with a bed built in. The prices quoted are way off the mark, with shipping and other costs added, the cost can easily approach 50 K for the top models. Hoping Toyota will have an entry into this market before long.

Not sure about that. I have an every option Mav including sunroof, etc., and it didn't top 37k. Your number is way off.

While I respect Motor Maven's opinions, this truck was NEVER going to be below $20K on any planet. During the post-pandemic price gouging, these trucks were commanding high prices in XLT form, and yes--prices do go up on certain things, like cars/trucks, each year. As for this, you don't HAVE to buy a Tremor or Lobo - XL, XLT, and Lariat (for top trim, IMHO), still exist.

I had a reservation for an XLT around 2020. Between delays and their gouging, I cancelled it once the dealer told me they’d sell it for $50k.

I like the lowered sport aspect of the Lobo. But I want a 6spd manual and a standard cab. Not a 4 door and 8spd auto. And it's about $5k too much.

Worst review ever! This is a great offering by Ford and I look forward to the 2025 Lobo. Hello people the economy got wrecked by current administration, components cost 30-40% more than 2021, UAW successfully got huge raises so all this equates to cost increases. Also people are demanding and willing to pay for more content like larger infotainment screen and functions. These aren’t free upgrades, flip key or push button. I don’t care, Hybrid or no Hybrid, I don’t care. I just love driving my Maverick with all my performance upgrades and accessories. It’s a good platform to build on and Ford saw the opportunity to fill the need and make some money. They’re not running a charity…however they still offer a great value pickup with a range of options and prices. Great job Ford and keep building Mavericks 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Computers are the future, simple. no one will change that i thinking. Ordering usually has options to pick ot not.

This truck should only be offered in the hybrid. Options should be AWD and internal trim like heated seats, I have a '21 Escape and the hybrid is the best version of that vehicle. Ford completely screwed up that line as well with the ST line making it almost impossible to get specific features that you want without ones that you don't.

ford has got to the point it is over pricing over promising and under delievering i have bought 2 mavericks a f 150 and am totally un happy with the intire process as soon as i get some equity to be able to get out of them i believe ther is a toyota in my future

In my opinion, Ford has ruined the Maverick. It was a nice simple and reasonable little truck. The new prices are ridiculous and the new front styling looks terrible. I wouldn't buy one now because they are ugly.
