Fun Fact: Jeep recently stopped producing Wranglers for a few days and then decided to cut shifts at the factory because they aren't selling. They have gotten too greedy with the ridiculous prices. I saw a 2024 Wrangler v8 for $135,000 yesterday.
@wesleygolden10003 ай бұрын
135,000? Where ? I sell jeeps for a living and you can get a rubicon 392 brand new, not used, for 88,000. Still expensive but you are out here claiming a 50% hike over that? What trim wrangler? 88,000 is our most expensive

That's exactly what's wrong! You can't charge 60-100k for any jeep Wrangler. They are a 30k vehicle tops!
@OceanOsborn3 ай бұрын
I'm glad Jeeps are stuck on lots. The company needs a wake up call. A Jeep Sport should be cheaper than a Mazda 3 or Honda Civic. All this price gouging is ridiculous. Seriously, these Wranglers are way too overpriced out the gate with less features than any other modern vehicle. The only benefits these cars offer are specifically for offroading (solid axles, unibody, and angles). Those benefits clearly do not equal increasing price. The R&D for everything was essentially done decades ago. There is not one feature in a Jeep that reasonably makes it as expensive as a Mercedes or BMW.

@seasterl3 ай бұрын
Solid axles should make the keel less expensive (not more expensive!). Prices went up with improvements in suspension over the years (e.g., IRS) and shouldn’t go backwards. Also, the Gladiator still sucks at towing and no built-in trailer brake controller. We are in the 21st century, right?! Off-road character doesn’t need to cost as much as they’re charging. Maybe Jeep “needs” the money to stay afloat.
@patrickh91123 ай бұрын
While i don't disagree - i have stopped buying german made cars because of their terrible quality a decade ago... please elaborate why a merc should be expensive other then supporting the worlds biggest union and their outrageous 35h work week...
@OceanOsborn3 ай бұрын
@patrickh9112 youre talking about the wrong things here. This is about Jeep being extremely overpriced now. I used German luxury brands as an example of pricing as they are known to start in the $30k and up range and offer far more features than even the most expensive Jeeps. Compared to the average car they have better handling, safety, performance, designs, and materials. Their downside is having mid-tier reliability per capita... even then, Jeep has some of the lowest reliability ratings, when the cars are simple as shit, they should be at the top. Japanese cars obviously dominate reliability per capita, but this isnt about them either and yet their offroaders are also cheaper than Jeeps. I love Jeep Wranglers and old Cherokees, but man they need to wake up. The company needs to suffer and reevaluate everything. A standard Jeep Wrangler Sport with no power windows should not start at $30k unless it comes with everything that a $23k 2024 Mazda 3 has and a bit more. There is NO REASON they cost so much. They bring almost nothing to the table that you cant get out of Jeep TJ besides like 2 more airbags and a tiny screen for a radio.

The pricing as of late has outpaced the buyers and that is why dealer lots are full and the company is doing a soft launch for a new model year. I have been a diehard Jeep owner since my teens but sadly have not owned one for the last decade. I bought my new Jeep in 1991 - Islander with the 4.0L for $19,500 out the door in Ontario. Next was a 1997 TJ for almost the same price and then a 2004 Rubicon for $25000. Next came a 2008 Rubicon Unlimited for $29,000 and was a 4 door model yet the price only increase by $4000 over the 2 door TJ. I helped a friend buy a new 2011 Sahara with leather for $32,000. So in 20 years with significant research and development costs over two new platforms the price only increased by $12,500 yet we have seen dramatic increases in the last 4 years on the same platform? I hope someone comes to their senses and corrects the pricing in relation to peoples incomes and the brands true demographics.

There are so many stuff that could justify a little more the high prices we get… but instead of listening and adding more features, or at at least if its a plain car ready to be built and customized by the owner then make the price lower so they can spend the money doing so and adding what should be done from factory
@JesusIsAwsome213 ай бұрын
this is my biased opinion, I bought my AEV fully loaded Sahara 4-door in 2014, for 36K out the door. wranglers do bring a lot of capability and fun factor, but sadly Stellantis has increased the pricing without bringing much value, quality, or improved reliability to the product. it seems like they're trying to squeeze the Jeep name for as much as they can. it shows on the dealer lots. I can't tell you how many people I hear say they want a jeep but simply can't afford it. the new MSRP on the 392 "final" edition is $100,059.00 that equivalent to a fully loaded F350 super duty. that's a little crazy to think, but it's the reality that Stellantis has created for the Jeep brand. I hope this changes soon for the better, very sad to see from my favorite car company.

I could not remember Meagan’s name, so a bit embarrassed I asked for the sales gal who works with DRC. No clue, never heard of your channel. She sent me to another sales person, same results. To be fair, neither had heard about Coddiwomple Overland either. So, back to shopping…and I’ll cut to chase. I was shopping specifically for a RubiconX. DC offered the least amount in terms of discounts, as a matter of fact, Mark Dodge in SW LA was double (14K vs. 7K off MSRP), and Hendrick was right behind them. Just thought I would share as I was very surprised based on how much these folks are praised for their pricing. This is not by any means to discredit, slander, cause mistrust or place doubt on anyone. Just an observation.

You stated in your video that the colors that are offered mainly in the 2025 order form. Potentially are one of the highest selling colors that jeep wranglers have. Would this be solely because when Jeep orders Wrangler to stock their lot. That is the colors they mainly go with? Some of us who go to the dealer in our local area don’t usually sit down and order one. We purchase what they have in stock. Sometimes because of the current deal they’re offering. As many of us know, some who don’t. When you want to order a vehicle to your liking. You don’t get the discount that is current. You would have to be stuck with the one discount that is offered when you take delivery of your vehicle. If there is one. I I wonder how many Jeep Wrangler or gladiator purchases are ordered compared to actually people walking in and purchasing whatever’s in the dealers inventory. That being said. If the dealerships would order the wild colors. With that intern change, which color is purchase more than others? Also, it would be interesting to know thatif the dealerships had a wild color. How long did that color sit on the lot compared to the typical blacks, silvers, grays, whites, or red. Maybe that’s something you can talk to Dan Cummins. That would be something interesting to share.

I think Jeep is being VERY conservative with their 2025 offerings for two reasons. First, there are way too many 2024's piling up on dealer lots. Even with their discounts off of sticker (which NEVER happens), they're not moving inventory like they normally do. If customers see more incentive to get a 2024 at a discount versus a 2025 with little more in options, Jeep can shore up that inventory. Second, Jeep's new CEO, Antonio Filosa, is announcing "big changes" to turn the brand around after sales slump. Could be why we are seeing colors and options unavailable as they gear up for a 2026 release. And if we follow the Jeep Wrangler formula, we are getting due for a redesign in 2027 (and it could be sooner now that they have the Bronco to catch up and compete with).

Jeep should realize that sometimes, you sell more and make more profit selling for less. Why not only is there backlog of 2024s, but a lot of 2023s still left. Ecodiesel 2023s are just not moving at all in my area. The dealers I follow in my area, haven't sold a Gladiator diesel for about a year now which they are stuck with, 2023 model. Wranglers are moving a little, but I'm sure not as much as they would like and Gladiators any model I'm seeing in my area move at 2 per month, that's a good month. One dealership completely sent them off somewhere, none of their lots have a Gladiator. Glad to see pricing on 2025s didn't go up $3k or more again. I’m torn. Idk if I want to wait until q4 and get a good deal on a Wrangler 4xe since there weren’t any changes for the 2025 release. Or wait for what I really want which is the gladiator 4xe. At this point, I’m leaning towards a ‘24. Then watching and seeing what kind of reliability issues pop up with the new gladiator. And letting them over engineer a solution and trade it in. Decisions, decisions 😂
