@user-kv3ue5fp4c4 ай бұрын
I love the outgoing model, especially in Supersonic Red and XSE/TRD trim - the problem is, EVERYONE on the road has one. They're just completely ignored now. I have an 08 SE V6 in Blue Ribbon Metallic, loaded with leather, roof, JBL system, trunk lip, chromed TRD 18s... and before that, I had two Accord Coupes, a 94 and 99. My car only has 53,000 miles on it, and as much as I would love a new one, nothing really blows my skirt up that's out there, sedan wise. I would LOVE a TRD Camry, as the style is right up my alley, but the wife doesn't like it and you simply can't get one anywhere we live. I was waiting for the redesigned Camry, and this looks nice - but this isn't a complete top to bottom reworking, as you can totally see the similarities between the current model and this new one. I like the front and rear design, and LOVE that they kept the body cladding/ground effects - a HUGE selling point for me - but count me in as one of the people who can't stand the loss of the V6. If I got a new Camry, I'd be taking a major step back in terms of power - my current SE puts out 268 horses and my 99 Accord before it put out 200. The new car puts out less than a vehicle I owned in 1998 (it was an early 99 model) - that doesn't make sense to me. At any rate, I wanted to step up to a full sized sedan, something along the lines of a Maxima, Avalon or Charger, but this segment is all but dead, save for the Charger and 300C. I LOVE the looks of the Charger with the ground effects package, especially in red, but the car isn't really me, personality wise, and, again, EVERYONE around here drives one. A friend of mine who is seriously into cars said the Charger is a piece of junk with an all plastic interior, and, of course, there's the cop car stigma. As an avid Honda fan for some time - and considering the fact that my 99 Accord saved our lives in a head on drunk driving accident, when some loaded punk in a Dodge Ram smashed into us on Super Bowl Sunday - I really wanted to like the new Accord. I simply don't. I think it's among the ugliest cars on the road, if not the most boring. So that's out. I wish Toyota had come out with a model to replace the Avalon - that is, a large sedan with aggressive looks and an available appearance package. Instead, we got the Crown, which is ugly as SIN in my opinion. My dream car would have been a red Avalon TRD - the vehicle was totally my style. Couldn't afford one, but it definitely would have been on my dream list - maybe I'll hunt down a leftover from a dealership or find someone selling one. I'll look at this new Camry, but no doubt it will be ridiculously expensive for what it is; my wife's 2012 Altima also has no mileage on it, but she wants a new car because we just had to put a ton of money into repairs. I'd definitely get one of the new Camry models in the fire engine red color with the side skirts and parts.....

Hey Ben, would you rather have a Sonata Limited hybrid or a 2025 Camry XLE?
@leir20054 ай бұрын
Camry’s have been 4 cylinders for years. Majority of them are four cylinders unless you specifically asked for the six and even then they might not have one depending on the dealership. I don’t see much of a public outcry about this because six-cylinder Camry’s have been very hard to find for years now.

200 plus hp is pretty dang good for a little car I've owned the little Toyota 4 cyl from 1985 on ! whether the 4 cyl cargo van or Tercell getting on sverage 30 to 40 mph back up until mid 90s then I moved on to Tundras , sequoia etc love them all but adding a turbo for the more adventurous then that's a win for them I have it on my new Tundra awesome but seriously the 4 cyl Toyota is pretty dang reliable and economical especially at 3.00 plus a gal gas you want added hp then step into the Turbo world personally for me the Toyota 4 cyl is like ford's 300 and dodge 225 only with 2 less cylinders totally reliable and tough ! a little personal perspective. oh a today's gearing and fine tuned injection really makes a difference ! never thought I'd be sold on Toyota but they convinced me from the get go !

People are gonna hate me for this, but I find it silly seeing everyone up in arms about the redesign and the letting go of the v6. If you like the previous gen, then you can just.. buy it, there are millions of 2023 models and v6's that are virtually new that will last for decades. The reason I say it's silly is because every single day we watch history repeat itself. When vehicles were first introduced, horses had been utilized for thousands of years. People were outraged and couldn't believe you would use a stupid machine over the ol reliable horse. A hundred years later people scoff at the fact that those people must have been stupid for believing vehicles were inferior to horses, it sounds ridiculous. The hybrid engines are a superior technology to engines such as the v6, do you seriously think brilliant engineers at multi billion dollar car companies would just remove the v6 for fun? Lol, of course not, toyota has been perfecting hybrid engines for the longest of any car manufacturer. Hybrids are actually more reliable than traditional engines, and with stricter environmental regulations, fees, and rules, car manufacturers literally have to hit target mpg numbers or else they lose absurd amounts of money (thx Biden). Hopefully in the future they perfect a v6 hybrid so people can enjoy the best of both, but the current hybrid is still great, especially if you're hitting 45-50+ mpg. Anyways, I personally think the new redesign looks great, the old camry looked good but since it's such a common vehicle it was definitely getting a bit boring. I think they did a great job

Will Toyota make enough of them or will dealerships have 1 or 2 that are already presold in their inventory? Are they going to make you get on a waiting list to buy one? I like this better than the Accord Hybrid but if it's going to be a pain in the ass to obtain one I may just have have to go with Honda. I have bought many Hondas in the past but the styling of the current Accord doesnt sit well with me. One more thing Enough with the black wheels it's played out already.

Nothing against Hybrids or this car. I think it looks beautiful but I went from a four cylinder to a V6 and I just will dread having to go back to a 4 cylinder at some point. I am not a fan of 4 cylinders. They say it has power but from experience of someone who drives the freeway on a daily basis for work and used a 4 cylinder for 6 years, it was not fun. The car was reliable and got great gas mileage but it just didn’t have the power to react quickly if u found urself in a bad situation and needed it to move ASAP regardless if in eco or not. I didn’t have a lot of faith in my old car cuz of this. It was a Honda too. I have a much better time with my V6. I have gotten myself out of several bad situations caused by other drivers cuz of my V6. Seconds do matter. I’m sad to see the V6 go 😢

So an extra electric motor powering the rear wheels only provides a measly SEVEN (7) Horse power? AWD provides a laughable 7 HP? That's all Toyota's added motor provides? Lmao SMH. Toyota dropped the ball big time in my opinion. There's no way I'm going from 301 HP with my V6 XSE all the way down to a measly 232 HP lol. Anyhow, this is only an upgrade for those Camry drivers that own a 4 banger. Great video by the way. Thank you for sharing.

I think another reason us enthusiasts don’t get what we want is because most of the car sales are by ppl who know nothing about engines and transmissions. They go to a dealership see the new shiny car the salesman shows them. It fit in their payment range and they buy it. Next time you see someone with a new model car at the gas station ask them what motor they chose. I bet most ppl wouldn’t even really know or care. That’s why these companies can mostly do what they want, because most of the public is still going to buy.
