In early 2020 I spent weeks trying to find a workout I could manage at close to 300 pounds. I started this in May of 2020 using 2 lb weights, then worked up to 5 lbs, then 10lbs. Now I'm at 15 lbs and can get through it quicker than the video. As a woman in my 40s it's been a slow and steady journey, but I'm down 4 sizes. Thanks Joanna!

I did this for a period of time and lost 10 pounds (along with a healthy diet) I was leaner, stronger and slimmer, my belly fat was significantly diminished. I will probably take this routine back up again because you can adapt but I highly recommend this if you are able to do it

If 1 kg = 2.2 lbs, then, lighter weights should be 4-8 lbs and heavy weights should be 10-14 lbs. If you are new to lifting, modify down, like 2-3 lbs for your light weights and 5-6 lbs for your heavy weights. If you have no weights, use water bottles, soup cans or whatever else you have around the house.

soup cans and water bottles do NOT qualify as strength training, Jesus. That's 50's wife level right there. The weights ranges that she suggested are fine, if you're a begginer stick to the lower weight in the range ;)

I completed this workout today for the first time and I'll try doing this for the next 6 weeks at least 2 times a week like you said. The hardest part for me was definitely the lower body set. I can literally still feel it and it made my body shake so hard during the rest of the workout🙃. It was hard but I made it using 3 and 4kg dumbells. I'll try to update every week, but remind me if I don't. Starting weight 83.3kg (19th of January)

I have a spinal disease called Ankylosing Spondylitis and its pretty severe. Doctors just try to load me up with dangerous meds, but I've been wanting to do strength training because holding weights feels really good on my arms and stretching feels amazing for my legs and back, i picked your video to watch and I'm so glad i did, i love you already!! I can actually do the workouts you showed and my body already feels better and i have more energy

I'm really enjoying this workout. First time I did it was a bit of a struggle but I'm in week 2 and getting through it much better than last week. Soreness has gone too. Starting weight is 181 pounds. I've incorporated daily walking for 5k and weight lifting every other day. Increased my protein intake and cut out unhealthy meals. Hoping to see some improvements in after 6 weeks.

Thanks for this fabulous workout Joanna. I’m not trying to lose weight, rather to put on muscle and look more athletic as I’ve always been skinny, and I’m fed up with people commenting about how thin I am! I’ve been doing this workout for a few months now, I started with the 5lb dumbbells and worked up to 10lbs, hope I can make it to 15lb soon. Im already getting comments about how my arms look much stronger and shapely, and I managed to put on nearly 2kg too. Thank you :)

I love your videos you explain every exercise perfectly I’ve been searching for someone who can teach me how to properly lift weights I’ve never lifted weights only cardio. Now that I’m 40 I’ve gained 30 pounds through the pandemic and for the first time in my life I’m having a hard time losing weight, my whole life all I had to do was go to work and live normal and my weight stayed at 115 until I hit 40 and then the pandemic hit and the couch became my best friend so your videos are very refreshing and I am going to slay my body with your exercises so thank you in advance I’m actually going to start today so here we go lol

lemme answer u by saying, everybody is diff, so everybody burn diff amount of calories, it depends of the way u did the workout if u did it really well, or like a zombie xD and depends on ur weight the bigger the more. but all i can say is that strengh training should burn while doing the workout and keep burning even after finishing the workout

Did this 4 days ago. Although not my first weight training session, but this was I felt a true workout. Done it again today. Certainly a great one. May seem fast at first, but once you know the moves, gets easier to follow. I used 2.5 and 4 kg weights for now as am a beginner. Buying the weights slowly. Thank you Joanna very much .

My name is Starla and I am 63 yrs. old. I started on the OMAD, then I did intermittent fasting but found that the Keto suited me the best. I have been doing the ketogenic diet for awhile now and have lost 12 pounds. But now I can't seem to get my body to drop any more weight. I have not cheated or have a cheat day. I'm not new to working with hand weights because up until 4 years ago I have never weighed more than 115 lbs. my entire life. I am 5'6 small frame and currently weighed in this morning at 163. I have been doing strength training with my 5 lb. dumbbells 3 days a week and HIIT 2 days a week but the ugly fat is still there and I want desperately to get it off and get back to my old me. I have a 10 oz. coffee with 1 tablespoon of of Kerrygold grass fed butter and 2 stevia packs at 10 am. 1 p.m. I have a small Keto meal, and dinner consists of either Chicken, Turkey, Steak, or a Hamburger w/ my Ezekiel bread and vegan mayo. My daily calorie intake has been around1,200. No processed foods and I have not ate any type of sugar not even syrup for over 6 weeks. I was told you have to eat good healthy fats 50 - 70% in order to lose the body fat, 20% proteins and keep your carb intake under 20 grams. Can you please help me figure out what I am doing wrong and why I can't seem to get my body to go into Ketosis. I have no one I can ask and I don't want to give up. I just sat down yesterday and cried because I don't know what I am doing wrong. Thank you for listening
