12.5:1 compression ratio to be precise. 8-10 lbs of boost on stock internals is sufficient for street (any higher and you're looking at a time bomb). a purpose built FA20 for boost would be at 10.5:1 compression ratio. to run more power to the BRZ, you will need to improve the total handling of the car. i have a Toyota 86 GTS(GTS has bigger brakes than GT version)

We all have our preferences, I think power plays an important part of thr car as it really changes the dynamic. The car doesn't need a ton of power but the extra kick in it definitely helps. @@Smeedia I agree totally. The car would be a lot better with the turbo upgrade. So piecing together the next steps for the sti, I’m def not to great at installation nor do I have tools. Would you have any interest in helping with some installation? Obv would pay ya. Btw brz is sick man. I had one before the sti, just was to small for me lol
@Smeedia4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Ans I know the feels. What all parts do you have going on?

Smeedia so I have the flex fuel system ready, but the gf is getting me a bigger turbo for Xmas. and then within the month I will be ordering a 38mm external west gate and up pipe. I’m thinking about doing it all at once versus having to keep getting it tuned. What are your thoughts?
@DW-vb9kd4 жыл бұрын
Smeedia as in flex fuel ready, I have ordered it, so everything I mentioned I will be looking for help installing. And I’m not to good under the hood yet lol but it could help fund you for the new sti build? Hahaha
@Smeedia4 жыл бұрын
Do it all at once, will ne cheaper than paying for multiple tunes 🙏
@DW-vb9kd4 жыл бұрын
Smeedia that’s what I’m thinking. Are you interesting in helping to install? Like I said I would pay you. It would be in the next month or so.

@Smeedia4 жыл бұрын
It feels alot quicker, too end the STI had more to it, but low to mid power thr BRZ takes the cake

I di go catless, it was an MAP header, downpipe, tomei over pipe and Tanable catback 🙏

People sleep on this car so bad because of "low power numbers" and everyone who talks shit about these cars don't drive them
