Subaru is the Japanese name for the Pleiades star cluster. Hence it is featured in their logo on the car. The reason for this is the stars represent the seven companies that joined together to form Subaru Corporation.

What might help against overheating is mounting some window nozzles towards the engine and spray some water mist when it's getting hot.

Hey mark, have you thought about installing an electric fan for the engine? I would be concerned too. Nice ride, I think the wagon is a Cressida with an inline 6.

A neighbor who was in the Air Force, bought new one of these, I think around 1968 and soon after bought the little van Subaru offered. Soon after, less than a few months, the two disappeared and a new Barracuda convertible appeared. Go figure?

You should have focused in the red 4dr a little bit ,, booked it home , stopped for fuel. Perfect day for daycab dismantle,, cut rainrail left to do then slide window wagon in place

What about rigging up something like a washer pump to spray something on the cylinder head/fins to cool it off? Do you drive it like a 2 stroke Saab; on the gas then off the gas watching the head temp?

I have, the 360 speedo usually is a bit optimistic , accurate below 30mph, above that it starts to read higher

Not hard nowadays, we make parts now. 30 years ago was difficult , really difficult.

​@@2stroketurbo I notice your 360 where the choke knob is there's one that has a letter "h" I'm assuming that's the heat?? The 360 I'm looking at in Japan has a 3rd knob with the letter "f". What is the f knob for? Weird some have 3 knobs while others have 2. Kinda nervous getting a 2 stroke engine they seem complicated for someone who knows nothing about cars😂 Deluxe, Super Deluxe and Young SS so many options I dunno what to pick 😆
