TaeKwonDo because it is a modern way of oriental life. But if you are looking for self defense, then Brazilian mixed martial arts are the best.

Krav Maga :) Cause I understand why things are done in a certain way (and or it won't take much before I get it) and I thrive best when I get the logic of what I'm doing,.. and the efficiency and so on... And that is outside of the fact that my centre is filled with brilliant and good people and I find it really fun to train. :D :)

Krav Maga due to the pragmatism of the art form regardless of the circumstance.

Would have been a subscriber for sure, but due to triple fusion cervical plus second surgery while working out, and chronic thoracic spine injury and nervous system damage just going to try your stuff when can. Started when 15 years old,now 48 so tried almost everything. But you guys are lucky and making the most off it, so more power to you. And people that care more about functional strength.

My favorite martial arts style is all of them, I don't have favorite because they all teach me amazing stability and give me stamina. So Tapp Bros, I have a question. In the military they are telling us that we have to do a certain amount of crunches to pass the Physical training test. How do we do that without hurting our backs for us who want ninjas after the military?
@zakuhtet37756 жыл бұрын
Here's 1 tip I heard: 1) Keep your back flat against the ground. When you're lying down, try sticking your hand under your back. If there's an opening, keep your back flat. 2) Make sure you stay in that position as you sit up and goes back down. It might be difficult but try not hooking your feet under a couch or something to aid in stability. It's okay if you lift up your legs a little to assist in your sit-up. Here's the source with a more detailed explanation: kzbin.info/www/bejne/r2aloamPfN6JmJI

shadowboxing and boxing with a punchingbag is a great conditioning training. but as abworkout? really? maybe together with some legraises and plank holds. at least you could lose some bodyfat for your sixpack with that boxing... edit : brazilian jiu jitsu btw, because grappling is fun.
@Wish-cn8lq6 жыл бұрын
Kurt Wagner that’s a well raised point. While leg raises, planks and other exercising are great for conditioning, impulsive work outs like these are quite effective for providing a functional strength.

This is also a killer Muay Thai move for self defense. If you practice it well you can use it in real situation. Not many ordinary guys can still stand after getting these blows.
